Title: Don't Skip Leg Day!!!
Post by: Al Doggity on September 08, 2016, 11:52:40 AM
Worst part of skipping leg day for 3 weeks? The day after that first return workout.  Even when you go relatively light, you look like a zombie lumbering around the next day. I had a meeting in a small pre-war building earlier today and, of course, the elevator was out and we had to walk up to the fourth floor. Felt like my legs were buckling on way down.  :(

When my legs are really sore, walking up stairs is easier than walking down stairs.

Instead of walking down stairs, slide down the banister. Hope this helps.

Legs are the one thing I always get DOMS with. I usually skip them so when I do them it gets bad. And yes, walking down the stairs is the worst. Two days later is the peak for me.

I feel ya. Ideally, I would have six workouts per week:push/pull/legs/push/pull/legs/rest. Lately, IRL, I've been lucky to get 3 a week. When it gets like this, I usually rationalize skipping legs to get in a second upper body workout.

This guy at my gym does nothing but work arms and shoulders, he wears shorts with tube socks pulled way up, absolutely no sign of legs. Looks ridiculous. I started doing standing calve raises next to him to send him a message.

is this the "No Pain no gain" "Warrior" bla bla bla... ::)

Bodybuilders are guys...knowing nothing about pain haha. Lactic acid is pain for them. Sore muscle are pain for them...if they only knew how weak minded they really are they wouldent talk about pain. What a joke!

I have met several different athlets true my 22 year lifting. Bodybuilders are the weakest ones of them all...no doubt...without a question.

Wrestlers, fighters, endurance athlets, gymnastsa, fotballplayers...this is people with strong body strong mind. They are not even talking about pain bcz its there all the time.

Sometimes i hit legs twice a week.

Still sore. Even if they are still sore Sunday, I'm gonna hit 'em again. Thanks for asking!

Only soccer players are even more cry babies when it comes to 'pain'. Believe me...

That's it. Skip leg day. Arms and chest baby, looking like an ostrich running down the street!
