Title: Has there ever been such a gap between Mr. Olympia and 2nd place finisher??
Post by: Macrofitter on September 20, 2016, 07:01:50 AM
Srsly, Phil is so untouchable and so many lightyears ahead of the competition, it's getting silly. He shouldn't even be in a callout, they should compare the others to battle for 2nd to 15th spot, and at the end of the show Phil could come on stage fully clothed and be awarded with the sandow trophy.

I thought that a much improved Rhoden was going to show up on Saturday night and challenge Phil. I was wrong. Phil dominated.

Ramy should've placed 2nd.

heath is beating there by a bit, from the back, ham strings, glutes etc

from the font a bit closer,  but overall heath is winning. the current crop of pros is so bad,  heath will keep winning.  and please do not inject kai weirdo green into this topic,

he has never been able to bring it in at the olympia and never will

And BTW, training with Charles Glass hasn't really made a big difference for Shawn. Maybe he needs to go to Kuwait.

People thought Haney would hold on for longer, same with Yates and Coleman.  When it goes downhill it happens fast.  From the competitors as long as phil doesn't crash and burn he can easily hit 10 wins.  Phil's back was thick as fuck this year.

Phil has started using a lot of site oils, his delts were funky this year, hes not getting any bigger with the gear and insulin and hes getting desperate, hes going to fuck himself up.

It really is an abomination these days, no structure, flow, just drugged up mass where ever the experiment has the cells to grow. No doubt Phil the best of a very bad era, hell an argument could be made for Dexter based on prior years judging criteria, there is just no art to it anymore, just mass with no class.

Dexter beats them both in the rear lat spread.  David Henry has the best back in the business.  Not sure how he only gets 5th in the 212.

Gap between Heath and Rhoden is pretty big in those pics... Problem is Ramy should have been second, or even first.

The problem is the 4th place guy compares better.
Wins most front poses.
Hangs in the side poses and is better overall
from the back compared to Dex and Shawn
in comparison to Phil.

Really is a sorry state today, Ramy looks better than phil having a similar size waist while taller but with wider shoulders, conditioning looks similar overal but ramy destroying him in the fls and side chest, bdb about the same. Phil can't escape that narrowness in any pose

Ramy exposed Phil's narrow structure and buldging stomach.
Once he regains some of the, delt, arm and back mass lost plus
a bit more hammies...I'm talking small amounts 5-7 pds..
He will be very dangerous to Phil.
I love Phil's look from the back
but his scar tissued delts and his whole ab area ruins his front look for me.
His narrow structure makes his FDB and FLS not so good too.

Streamlined Ramy looks OK, but taking away his freaky size advantage will be a hard sell for most. Phil still beating him soundly on the BDB.

The worst gap was 2007 when Jay beat Victor and in that case the 2nd place finisher was miles better than the winner.

Phil is in an era where if they'd gone say with Martinez 6 years ago they'd still be awarding him and keeping him the winner regardless of how he looks. Like someone else said they seem to be bent on creating dynasties.

Poor Ramy.

Having his dick sucked by dirty camelfucking sandal gypsys every year, just to get completely robbed.

He doesn't deserve Dexter and Shawn placed ahead of him, that is ridiculuous.

I feel bad for the guy, don't know why he bothers with the O any more.

Roelly should have placed ahead of Shawn and Dexter also.

Ramy is a lot closer than I thought, only Dorian style conditioning stopping him from winning in my opinion, but can he hold that size and get that peeled.

My God did Rhoden not deserve 2nd place. He is horrible on so many levels. He was smooth, flat, water logged, horrible arms, midsection, lats, traps, pecs, etc. Just awful. Dude should not have even placed in the top 10. What a fucking undeserving gift he got handed to him.

x2 Winklaar was better than Rhoden in every aspect.

So was Justin Compton (10th), Dallas McCarver (8th), Roelly Winklaar (6th), William Bonac (5th, but should have placed 3rd), Dexter Jackson (3rd), and obviously Big Ramy (4th, but should have been 2nd or even 1st),
