Did you steal this post from Lookism.net or are you really that big of a beta-phag that you worship an 80 year old man?

How big a guy was he back in the day. He was billed at 6'4. Anyone know what he weighed? I'd guess 195-210

So, was Clint known for having a naturally big 'cook' then?

Clit's weak point was that he started looking 40 in his teens.
The female teachers loved him and his unnaturely mature tongue arts.

Fun fact - Clint Eastwood was once challenged to a duel by Consul General of France, and writer Romain Gary for sleeping with his wife, actress Jean Seberg.

MAXKANE, It appears that y9u know your movie history pretty damn well.

And I totally agree with ya that Sergio Lione is the reason behind Clint's success.

BUT ... Can you tell your fellow GetBiggers the name of CLINT's character in THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.

And who was 'the good'?
Who was 'the bad'?
And who was 'the ugly'?

So in an effort to avoid any Hollywood history conflicts, I'll have to do some research.

Sorry bout that.

In the English version
Clint name was "blondie"
The good was Clint Eastwood
The bad was Ely Wallach
The ugly was Lee Van Cliff

In the Italian original version " Il buono,il brutto e il cattivo"
Clint name was "biondo"
The good (il buono) was Clint Eastwood
The ugly (il brutto) was Eli Wallach
The bad (il cattivo) was Lee Van Cliff

The reasoning for this is because brutto ( ugly in Italian ) is almost always used to describe physical apparence, and Eli Wallach was less attractive than Lee Van Cliff. ;)

GBU, one of my faves (Wallach crushed it!). Morricone (and the Montenegro version) crushed it, too!

You are all correct!

I hate to remain confused for too long a time so I did some research and discovered that there were actually two versions of the movie.

One version for the Italian audiences in which Illumanati would be correct....
Clint = the Good - man with no name / Blondie
Eli Wallach = The ugly / Tuco Ramirez
Lee van cleef = The Bad = Angel eyes

I have heard that this was due to the fact that the original Italian version was actually entitled ..... The Good, the Ugly, and the Bad which coincided withhe principal actor's screen credits. (Or something like that.)

But in the version released in the USA ...
CLint was The Good
Tuco was the Bad
Ange Eyes was the Ugly

The Italian version seems more appropriate though

SNOMAN, Ryan O'Neil???

Back to The Good, etc......

I always thought I had seen The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly many years ago, but I downloaded it from Amazon last nite and after roughly ten minutes I reaized I had NeVER seen it before.

I gotta admit that it was one hell of a great movie but I have to agree with Singh (see above) in that ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST was also great and just as enjoyable.

Many in the film business feel that the three best westerns ever made are:

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Once upon a Time in the West.
The Searchers.

Tarantino says that The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is the greatest film ever made.

I don't know where HOW THE WEST WAS WON falls on any Greatest Westerns list, but many of my stunt pals worked on that one and told me lots of stories that I believe have never been published to the outside world.

That's makes me an 'insider' I guess!
