I was hyped up by the comeback and even watched Olympia for the first time in years.
But unfortunately we must be realistic here after seeing him on stage.
Levrone is a legend and great athlete but I'm afraid there might not be return for his physique to top level.
I would be happy to be wrong on this, though.

Kevin couldn't even bring his legs up 15 years ago and now he wants all of us to think he can do it now at 52 years old? LOL. He also has to worry about his weak back. It's as bad as Ben Pakulski's back and that's pretty damn bad. Good for Kevin for getting in shape to promote his supplement company, but he's bringing all of these "critics" on himself by talking big.

i get a kick how he blames not being able to squat is the reason he didnt place well, i think that is the first time ive ever heard this from a pro

Dorian Yates didn't squat due to a back injury, he used the leg press and smith-machine squats.

Dorian did squat religiously for years and then figured out squats weren't really suited for his physique and moved on.

Yes, and made his best improvements whilst not squatting.

Yes, earlier on in his career. He did say that squats built the foundation of his leg development.
However, he did mention that he had a back injury which squats aggravated.

yes g, you are right he didnt squat at all during his olympia run. but kevin levrone , the greatest responder of all time according to morons on this site, claims not being able
to squat is the reason he didnt place well at the olympia.
-
I'm not really sold that he trained legs very often at all, squats or no squats. He posted several training clips during his Olympia prep and they were mostly upper body.
-
Kevin needs to STFU and promote his supplement line. Keep training and guest pose here and there. Stop with delusional shit, and act more like a business man.

You know what would of been better for him? If he really wants to be onstage then having him guest pose at these shows would of done him and his business better. He would of made more money for himself and the IFBB by guest posing and his supplement line would of gotten more exposure. By the looks of things, Kevin doesn't seem like a smart businessman.
Look at how many contests they had this year: http://www.ifbb.com/ifbb-board/ . I'm pretty sure they will have even more next year.
-
Kevin isn't smart period. I like the guy but you can tell by the way he talks that he isn't that sharp.
Anyway, if he can bring his legs up just a bit he won't be far off from his 2002-2003 look, to be honest.
-
He could do belt squats. But I guess he may stay with stuffing socks and proteen powders.

I have been saying that since he announced he was competing in the Olympia. He's a fucking horrible business man. At 52 yrs old he should have learned something, but he has a meathead mentality.
-
Kevin will die for us ...probably sooner than Piana .
WoooSHHHHHHHHHH Aroldis

Kevin has even more things to worry about. His back was the worst at the Mr. Olympia this year. If he thinks his 8 months of "hardcore" training will help him then he's more delusional than I thought.

It will help, it's just a matter of how much.

So basically he's just retracting on what he said, first he couldn't squat cause of his knee, then he's not 100% oh brother ::)

And it showed. ;)

His waist appears wider because his legs are so thin. Dude, you're just hating. You created this thread in order to hate on him. You can't even upload a youtube video properly.
-
Kevin uploaded a video last night " training legs" in Germany , with no weights and you can still see he is in pain ....
Guy has some serious mental issues.
-
Surely if he had the foundation, high volume with medium-heavy weights would have brought his legs back up?
-

Such a naive post. So very delusional in itself.
Being a businessman is precisely what he is doing. He is promoting his supplement line in 2016. This is the age of curiosity on social media - transformations, journeys, quests. He is keeping the hypetrain rolling. If he simply shrinks back down or doesn't offer yet more "transformation" to the audience, he will lose most of the audience. That is how he obtained it and that is how he keeps it. Perhaps if he were Jay Cutler in 2005, yes, going around doing guest posing would work. Nowadays, you take an instagram picture every day or two and do a lot of your marketing from your home. People who go to shows are nothing compared to people who might buy something online because they like Levrone.
See, all of you will be watching to see pictures of his legs in the coming months. It doesn't matter how stupid you think he is, what he is doing is the right thing. He has your attention and some of you are so fucking blind to this, you're actually suggesting he quit doing what is clearly working? He has you. He has your curiosity. He does not have your curiosity if he downs tools and does fuck all to improve or innovate.
Honestly, I facepalm reading threads like this, so many useless suggestions for someone doing something with their life. It doesn't matter if Kevin's legs do not improve. The publicity has a dollar value that gives him some edge in a very saturated market full of basically the same thing with a different name. He just has to keep the attention of the masses.
It didn't matter that he stepped on stage in sub-optimal condition. It doesn't matter. Nothing will take away those insane pics from back in the day. All that remains is money to be made for himself and his family.

Great shape considering he only trained for almost 8 whole years for the 2016 Mr. Olympia.
