i did heavy chest yesterday was real strong (for me)
6x120kg incline with perfect form
etc
today i tried seated barbel pressing for delts but i felt like i wasnt recovered yet and not strong
so i just said fuck this shit, did calves and called it a day
better to rest more and lift heavy ass weight

I can't go full intensity on a muscle group more than once a week, sometimes up to 10 days with deads and squats. But that's high volume and all out assault.
The whole "it takes 48 hrs for a muscle group to recover " was instilled in my head back in my youth and it's one of the reasons why I overtrained too much and wasted a lot of time. Go do deadlifts to failure and tell me you're recovered in 2 days.
But, that's not to say you can't train more frequently on the same muscle groups. Some people do a lighter, more endurance routine and they can adapt to it. Other people like powerlifters practice their moves frequently but aren't pushing it. But this is never specified properly.
Generally speaking, if your joints aren't giving you problems you're probably getting adequate recovery. It's better than relying on soreness.

Deads are the worst to recover from!
2-3 intense weight lifting sessions a week and 1-2 semi hard aerobics is best for me.
Sex doesn't count. If I ever was about to get laid, I could not get it up and at best it would last only seconds.
Heart rate might rise from exitement though?

Yes i have being saying this a long time most bodybuilders are overtrained, I never lift two days in a row after you go balls to the wall in the gym you need to rest I always do one day on one day off and if I feel I have not recovered then I take an extra day, now the people who lift pussy weights and jerk off in the gym they can go everyday.

That mindset is more conducive to the mentally challenged, which apparently dominate most gyms because most guys I see prefer the ego lifting with poor form. All are permabulkers with ILS too.

I have to agree all he does is eat junk and train with leg extensions and machines he is afraid of training hard with free weights if he did not have a fast metabolism plus drugs he would look like shit.

FYI, when I was into practicing this bodybuilding horseshit I was actually weaker but bigger than when I was a natty
my natty arm was 14 1/3 and my roided arm was 16 1/4 at the same bodyfat, and as a natty I could do 10 full range dips with 100 pounds added to my waist and 8 full range chin ups with 50 pounds added
in my roided up state I could only do 6 reps with 20 pounds added on dips and only 6 chins with body weight
