to participate in the IBF’s second-day weigh-in the morning of their 12-round fight. An IBF rule prohibits boxers fighting for their titles from adding more than 10 pounds over a division’s limit by the morning after official weigh-ins.
but that is in the morning after the first weigh in and a good 12 hours before actual fight time ::)
they need to go back to same day weigh in 2 hours before fight time

No it's not interesting at all, try your luck on a boxing forum

that shit was killing people
people severely dehydrated were going into the ring too depleted and tired.
-

Then they should fight up a class if they can't prepare properly to weigh what they need to weigh.its not like they don't have time for this stuff.

I'm only primarily familiar with local strongman and powerlifting contests personally, and it was always a weigh-in within 2-3 hours from the contest. It was pretty simple. For some reason, provincials this year [which was sanctioned by CAASA] allowed a 48 hour weigh-in. I have no idea why, but I guess for me to make 170, I could see it helping a little in the future, as my metabolism slows down and I put on weight. I actually think the 48 or [worse yet] 72 hour weigh-ins will eventually result in a competitor dying.

Rarely. I'll hit a couple of rounds, then tell myself I'm going to do this more often, then a month later I remember. ;D

you would never have to worry about having the problem of gaining back 10lbs after a weigh in. I have seen fruit flies floating around a dried up banana peel on the sidewalk that weigh more than you individually

me thinks its your own problem and you feel skinny yourself even though you are a fat turd
whats really funny is that if you got down to sub-5 your arms would probably be 12 inches 😂

and smatt
a 48 hour weigh is FUCKING INSANE
if that would come to pass it would be VERY VERY easy to lose 20 or even 30 pounds and still fully recover all weight cut and be 100% ready to go

Just shut the fuck up talking about yourself, no one here cares, go on your youtube and bore everyone on there.
If I go on for like four paragraphs in a row about myself, let me know. But posting a few sentences in something very relevant and bodybuilding-related, I think is fine.
I think weigh-ins should move towards the model that I have experienced personally over the years I have competed at the local strength contests where I live - that is, 2-3 hour weigh-ins! None of this 24-, 48-, or 72-hour weigh-ins. Doing it that way is going to result in a competitor dying one day.
Also, what's the point of having "welterweight" divisions, if the smallest competitors making a 170-lb weigh-in are actually competing at 185-lb or more? I'm reminded of Matt/Janae Kroczaleski who weighed in at 220-lb with a 72-hour weigh-in, and was actually over 250-lb when he hit all of his powerlifting records. Again, what's the point?

All boxing clubs take conditioning super seriously. You play tennis or snooker you don't play boxing so you need to be fit otherwise chose another sport.
