They look good to me, traditional and elegant. The interior of these cars are very nice, given they are 350k cars to begin with

This will be Roll Royce's best seller and will do for Rolls Royce what the Cayenne did for Porsche. American's in particular will love this SUV.

XCar describes what a bubble of luxury a Rolls Royce is. Absolute silence and isolation.

Rolling in a rolls and sponsoring bbers, can’t go wrong there

The Phantom is huge, practically the size of an SUV already. This is a dumb idea but I'm sure plenty of people with far more money than taste will buy "the Rolls-Royce truck"

By Lawrence Ulrich
The Cullinan adopts the aluminum spaceframe that Rolls calls the “Architecture of Luxury,” shared with the $420,000 Phantom VIII and BMW’s 7 Series sedan, as well as with the upcoming BMW X7 SUV. Though the Cullinan is an SUV, it will actually take up the least space in Rolls-Royce's showrooms, stretching just 210 inches in length; that's about 2.5 inches longer than a Lincoln Navigator, but two feet shorter than a long-wheelbase Phantom.

It's only 2.5 inches longer than the Navigator and two feet shorter than the Phantom. Sounds perfect for the American market.

If I had the financial means to drive a Rolls Royce...it would not be that butt ugly Turdmobile...
It would be a Mark VI Bentley...Classy and understated....Plus, it's a stick...

I didn't believe you when I first read your post...I had to look it up...There actually is a car model called "Uterus"...I would have to say that is a marketing "faux paux," most certainly. Rather like a distantly related Italian cousin...Dear Cousin Uterus...meet your Cousin Edsel...

Very heavy, sky high fuel consumption, not a looker....the USP of this SUV is status / prestige, not much more
I do not see any technical breakthroughs
A V12 was already available in the Bentayga (okay, that's a rebadged Audi Q7)
The extra seats in the trunk have been available in Range Rover for many years
But no doubt it will sell to corrupt russians / ukranians and petro islam criminals from the middle east

The rear pull out jump seats in the Range Rover look like stirrups---don't have the aesthetics and usefulness of the Cullinan's jump seats.

Well I'm certain that the future owners of this will be heavily considering the fuel eonomy vs prestige.

The potential buyers of these cars most likely have the bentaya, the ranger rover, g wagon, cayenne, and 25+ other Ferrari’s, paganis and the new thing now is owning koenigsiggs

You really don't see any technical breakthroughts? The body alone is a technical breakthrough. This vehicle will set new standards for SUV's and much of the engineering will be copied by competitors. The all Aluminum uni body will be shared with the X7, the 7 and the Phantom. I've heard there's an inch thick foam sound insulation in the floor.

Newest car in a segment is always the most interesting for a certain group of buyers who are desperate for attention
Alu body isn't very special, Jaguar have been using them for many years, even the Alfa Stelvio is largely aluminum I think
Cullinan isn't very fast or fun to drive looking at the weight and size, it's just more versatile than a Ghost and less expensive than a Phantom, and finally the brand has 4WD and more ground clearance
It's not a boring car, but in many countries you will look like an ass driving one
(Fuel consumption / pollution / climate change is something RR or Bentley owners totally don't care about, that's true. Even though most of them have children?)

Wow. Aluminum. Material of the future. ::)
Seriously, you retarded?

Name another full sized all Aluminum SUV.
Yes, Aluminum is the material of future cars and trucks. I'm not saying it's a new material, but very few cars and trucks use it extensively. Mainly because it's more expensive than steel and not as strong. It's actually a very soft metal.

Looks like a better version of the Bentley Dominator

Okay, but how is it a technical breakthrough when they've been building aluminum bodies since 1926?
"1926 Rolls-Royce 40/50 HP Phantom I Open Tourer, known as the 'Aluminium Sculpture' because of its natural aluminium body and chassis."
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/motoring/article-1207334/Worlds-expensive-Rolls-Royce-auction.html
It's not a technical breakthrough -- it's simply a design choice. Less structural strength for more fuel economy and better acceleration. To call it a technical breakthrough is an exaggeration.

The technical breakthrough is the noise, vibration, and harshness levels they were able to achieve in a large SUV. Along with the structural rigidity. Aluminum was the material they had to use to achieve this without making the vehicle weigh four tons.
I consider the Phantom to be a technological breakthrough in the NVH levels it was able to achieve for cars. It's also made of aluminum.

Funny, the F-type is made of a-lu-mini-um, and it seems to weigh far more than you'd think it would.

The Phatom's all aluminum and it weighs 5600 lbs. That's as much as an Cadillac Escalade.
I really hope Cadillac and Lincoln take note of the Cullinan to better understand the direction they need to head. I think unibody and extensive use of aluminum are in the future for both.
Incidentally, I believe the Escalande and Navigator best represent the best of what the Cadillac and Lincoln brand are and Rolls Royce and Bentley represent the boldness they should aspire to.
