I think people take too many supplements. They come into the gym with dufflebags full of various fart powders and spend a good half an hour preparing their various drinks before their workout: The pre pre workout, pre workout, intra workout, post workout, post post workout. Don't forget to time it just right for optimum results. By the time you drink all that you look like a big bloated bag of crap.

Lol, so true. They also have their gallon jug of water because they're too lazy to go to the fountain to get a drink.

I read an article that stated that man is actually losing bone and muscle strength because the life is as physically hard as it used to be.
So In a few thousand years we are just going to be gaint heads and stick figure bodies.  ;D

Somewhere between 1900 - 1920. Arco was a smaller guy that ran around #130 - 140 at like 5' 4". If you look into him, it will make a big deal about hand balancing and muscle control (basically a more complicated version of posing). But he had a very strong olympic lifting base years before that.

Here he is in his late 40's, early 50's (leave the sound off) -

The problem for natural bodybuilding in today’s world? They aren’t athletes! Guys like sandwiches did everything an athlete would do! Not just lift! The word overtraining didn’t even exist!

Coffee on the way in, a jug of water during and a decent meal after is all a natty needs to train.

Food still basically unchanged since 1918
And training / basic excersises still as Reg Park advised them in the early sixties

Natural bodybuilding competitions are nothing but “ab shows”.

No one’s getting extraordinarily lean and holding any appreciable muscle mass without anabolic drugs and hormones.

So great abs ... and weighing a mighty 155.

See some here point out the food is the same.

I can say for me the food used to be much more nutritious back in the day then now.
Don't know how much supps can help out in this.

Not to mention the air is more poluted probably.

And yes i am lifetime natty.

Almost anyone can get muscles with drugs.....
Takes far more brains, drive and hard work to get an impressive, muscular, natty body....It's a rarity...
After 50 years I'm still glad I did it the right way....
Didn't cheat and take the easy way out....

Actually, I don't understand why more people don't bring their own water. Why do you want to stand in line to drink out of a water fountain? If you like to move pretty fast during your training and don't want to lose the piece of equipment you're training on then having a bottle of water is the only way to go. Maybe the gyms you guys train at are empty but the number one obstacle for me in getting a good workout is by far, BY FAR, that there are so many people there just sleepwalking through their workouts sitting on the machines on their cell phones, watching TV and talking and just getting in the way.
