Title: RIP P.D. Devers
Post by: Ron on November 04, 2018, 04:19:42 PM
Remembering PD Devers. RIP.

Derik Farnsworth "With a heavy heart it saddens me to let the bodybuilding community, The Gym San Diego family and friends know PD Devers passed away last night..
If you knew him at all.. his smile and laughter literally filled a room.. I remember being in the gym on other side of gym and could hear his laugh.. you could not help but smile hearing him laugh or just smile at you.. PD, you were one of the first people to be-friend me when i came to San Diego.. You will be deeply missed my friend.."

Shawn Ray - "Rest In Peace Champ! 🙏🏽 Condolences to the Devers Family"

PD Devers in July 2010 at the NPC Los Angeles Championships.

I was at this event, watch PD Devers, although not in the best shape, still coming out and guest posing at the NPC West Coast.    Then, in October of that year, around the 10th, PD has a stroke / heart attack.

Waiting for the Getbig medical experts to chime in before knowing the entire story. Because, after all, they are experts ::)

You don’t have to be a medical expert. Abusing anything is not good for your body.

You often bitch and moan about people not having common sense. Common sense would dictate the abuse of any drug is no good for your body.

Oh that’s complete bullshit. If it was found out that died from anything that wasn’t B.B. related the immediate line would be “drugs”.

He had a heart attack and stroke.

Obviously, there is no way to pinpoint one causal factor.

But it’s obvious abusing drugs would have likely contributed to his health issues.

However, until an autopsy rules out drugs, I’m going to lean on the side of caution and say drugs had  at least something to do with it.

Guys that love bodybuilding drugs who refuse to acknowledge they are a risk to health is just incredulous.  It's pure rationalization. Coach has already had a stroke and a month later he talks of competing again and I assume with the assist of drugs.

I got news for all of you steroid junkies. If you have genetics predispositions to ill health you are exacerbating a bad situation. Denying to reiterate is rationalization. If you have such low self esteem you need drugs to receive praise for being a man you're truly lost.

Two things I gathered from that guest posting video.  First, that he was a well mannered and well spoken young man.  Second, the cause of his death.

He obviously died of shame from that "posing" routine.  Not long into said presentation I had to stop as I felt my masculinity being drained as if by the same salt-sucking-beast as on the original Star Trek.  Gaaaaaa!  Gross and weird come to mind.

FFS, that was just plain weird-ass fruitful.  I doubt many homosexual men that prefer the company of MEN would find that "attractive".  That was hideously and heinously disgusting, a definite crime against all that is masculine on this green Earth.

Yup.  He died of pure shame.

Had heart attack and stroke in 2010.

Continued to take drugs which raise risk factors for heart disease.

Autopsy results indicate subject is permanently dead

Body to be embalmed and entombed in pyramid with pet cats.

Coach,

if it was revealed that he was a heroin addict, you would immediately say he had a heart attack and stroke because of heroine, then you would go on your long tirade about how the government should ban drugs.

Yet, in your world, steroids, etc, get a free pass and abusing steroids likely has ZERO to do with this guys heart attack or stroke?

Talk about selective thinking.

New vid about Dallas’s death, just insane that this guy was a walking corpse, decomposing from within, all of this could have been avoided

Confirmed it was a heart attack he had while eating, and not choking (which we knew)

I didn't give anyone a pass. I said I don't jump to immediate conclusions the second something happens to someone. You immediately, as did most of the "experts" on here said the word "abuse", explain your definition of what "steroid abuse" is and how you know this? Specifically with a smaller guy like Devers.

Yet, you jump to the conclusion that everyone who smokes some weed is a jobless loser.

You should take your own advice instead of giving it to me about jumping to conclusions.

Clearly, he’s abusing way beyond the recommended dose to achieve his physique. There is no one definition of abuse in terms of quantity but we have enough evidence to strongly assume that he’s abusing steroids to get that physique. No one with common sense would deny this, son.

Our very own Dr Chimps is a real doctor

Doctor Chimps is an eminent medical researcher with expertise in cerebrovascular trauma. In his latest published article, now numbering over 100, he adds to the literature by identifying not two, but three kinds of strokes: the ischemo, the hemorrhago, and the Marino. The Marino is not that well known, and so awareness of this crippling medical emergency has taken to social media for wider exposure. The onset of a Marino is described by Chimps as a mix between blood flow being radically decreased and being radically increased in throbbing waves, which produces  the kinds of quizzical looks Marino faces are known for: e.g., intermittent starring into space and struggling mightily for verbal expression of a fourth-grade level vocabulary; it's much like the symptoms of a petit mal seizure, only with lagging calves.
