It's an interview made to order for those that hate the guy. I almost feel stupid for having to point this out. The interviewer only has one goal: point out the inconsistencies in the man's beliefs/opinions, that way the interviewee does not get a chance to explain him/herself or his/her point. "Tone is off therefore there is no issue" kind of logic.
It shows a shameless lack of respect if you ask me.

Shapiro even admitted he was destroyed, apologized, stated he was not prepared and said he falsely mischaracterized Neil.

You saw him walk out on the interview? Can you post the time. I must have missed it. I was listening and watching it while doing something else and could have missed it.
BTW, assuming he did walk out of the interview, how is that an indication that he was "embarrassed"? To be embarrassed would imply that he did something he was ashamed of. I didn't see any of that. Same positions whether you agree or not.

If that's true then it shows good character on Shapiro's part. How many on either side have ever done this?
Andrew Neil got the better of him in a debate. That's not easy to do. Good for him. But that does not imply that Shapiro's position of various issues of the day is wrong. He was wrong about Andrew Neil and what kind of interviewer he is. He didn't do his homework and apparently wasn't aware whom he was dealing with.

Andrew Neil is a walking syllogistic fallacy. There's no winning or losing, you're invited into a circus and by the time you realize you're part of the circus it's already too late.
This is a good example of how deteriorated Western media has gotten. People can't tell the difference between an interview and an interrogation.
