With how interconnected and diverse our world is becoming, I believe it is in everybody's best interest to pick up a foreign language, to better communicate with our new neighbors.
Have you started your duty to learn the language of all the people sharing our land? In America I imagine most of you know spanish, so that is a good start. I am going to learn either Farsi or Arabic, I have to decide which one. If anybody can recommend some resources, I would be very glad to have them.
stay poz :)

Clearly you already know Moronic

Americans barely even know English lol, Spanish, yeah right haha
-
i know how to give you the finger
-
Yes - French.
-
English (but I wish mine was better), French (almost useless but French people in general just refuse to speak English) and Spanish (quite similar to Italian to be honest).
If you're in a commercial job you simply ought to speak English, the rest is bonus.
Even German is useless since German people speak English fluently
-
Yes - French.
I respect that, Matt :)
It is a good language to know when many of the new immigrants are coming from French-speaking lands. You will be able to carve out a good place for yourself in the country you're in!
-
Yes herr in Cali must be able to communicate in "Spanglish" ;D

Yes, German is useless, I can count how many times I’ve used it in my life in the states
-
I took French in High School but I forgot most of it because I never used it. I'm in the process of learning Spanish now.
-
Clearly you already know Moronic
HA HA HA
He knows that only to Well.
-
No. I tried for many years (French and Spanish), but the retention just isn't there. And with Spanish at least, street level speaking it is far different than classroom level stuff.
The funny thing is I can read it half way decently most of the time, but speaking it? Yo no habla :).

Career wise, it only makes sense to learn english (if it's not your first language, obviously).
Part of what I do has to do with the exportation business, and I'm in contact with several people from Europe and Asia on a daily basis. All of them speak english. It's the universal language.
That being said, a job is not the only good reason to learn a language. Let's say you're very interested on anime and videogames. Guess what language would give you access to tons of material not so easily available. Yep, japanese.
Although I use english on my job and I've benefited from being bilingual, the endless hours of entertainment (videogames, Youtube channels, etc.) I've got from it are priceless.

Public signs are now in Arabic. This is from the municipality of Skövde.
Integration seems to be going well. Arabic now becoming the language of choice on official public signs.

Tell us about former Swedish Prime Minister Reinfeldt (he open the borders) & his new house on Swedish most isolated island.
Looks like he pissed so many Swedes with this shopping !.

You know, that's what I'm saying. If you just bothered to try to learn the language they speak, maybe you wouldn't be so xenophobic all the time.
That's what this thread is about. Let us help each other :)

But yet you are Canadian and speak French

Kinda know Spanish and watch a show on Galavision everyday to learn it better. May move to South America in the far off future.
-
But yet you are Canadian and speak French
My dad's family is from Newfoundland - the last British colony! That technically made my grandfather an Englishman.
And genetically, his side is all English.
I was born in St. John's, Newfoundland - the oldest city in North America.
In Canada, we have a French immersion program. I was in that.
Speaking of White integration:
1. My mom's parents spoke Italian and some English.
2. My mom and her siblings spoke English and Italian and some French.
3. I speak English and French and some Italian.
Two generations - FULL integration.
I'm sick of Italians [and Polish, and Irish] being used as examples of Whites not integrating. Such bullshit. Within two generations, they were.
