Post by: SF1900 on February 09, 2020, 04:29:59 PM
The Oscars start in 30 minutes.

Who’s watching? Get your wine, popcorn and most comfy blanket and snuggle up while watching your favorite actors and actresses.

I was watching Alien: Covenant, and, during a commercial, flipped past some red-carpet thing. A chocolate phaggot wearing a dress appeared, all phaggin’ out.

Couldn’t flip back to my channel fast enough.

Parasite was good. So far it has taken one Oscar. I'll have to see Once upon a time in Hollywood. Brad took home the Best Supporting Actor award. His little speech about Bolton was irritating though. He is another one of those out of touch Anti-Trump celebrities.

These actors are getting less and less popular with every award show where they mouth off their political beliefs. No one wants to hear what they think. Makes it even worse that they always spout out of touch nonsense, they need to stop slapping each other on the back all the time and stop with the lecturing crap.

De Niro has gone from being a liked actor generally to an absolute twit. The damage he has done to his 'brand' is immense.

Everything has its time in the spotlight. I watched some of last night's Oscars in between doing other things. Joaquin Phoenix's acceptance speech was really weird, yet memorable. But then, he's really weird and memorable. And, he is a good actor.

Oscar Viewership Hits All-Time Low With 23.6 Million
Deadline ^ | February 10, 2020 | Nellie Andreeva

It was a historic 92nd Academy Awards with a first Best Picture recipient not in the English language in Parasite adding an element of surprise to a largely predictable winners list. There was something historic in the ratings for the 2020 Oscars too — an historic low.

Last year, the Academy Awards bet on no traditional host, kicked off the night with an energetic performance by Queen and Adam Lambert, employed “not hosts” with Saturday Night Live pedigree (Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph) to do an opening monologue, kept the show’s length under 3.5 hours and created a musical moment with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s performance of “Shallow.”

The result was the first ratings increase in five years, so the Oscars tried to replicate the formula Sunday: no traditional host, high-octane opening number by Janelle Monae. monologue by SNL alums Steve Martin and Chris Rock, and a surprise music performance by Eminem aimed at creating a buzzy moment.

But the ceremony, which clocked in at 3 hours and 35 minutes — up from 3 hours, 23 minutes in 2019 — could not repeat last year’s ratings turnaround, drawing 23.6 million total viewers and a 5.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, based on Nielsen’s Live+Same Day Fast National ratings ordered by ABC. That is down double-digits from last year’s 29.6 million and a 7.7 rating of among adults 18-49.

Overall, the Oscars was the most watched entertainment special since last year’s ceremony, topping the Grammy Awards and Golden Globes in total viewers. Other broadcast networks didn’t try to compete Sunday, with all airing repeats.

WTF was he thinking marrying Jolie and dumping Aniston?

Aniston is a much better partner.  She's not batsh*t crazy.

She IS crazy.  Just not "Jolie-level off the charts someone please shoot it with a cannon" crazy.  You can just see the crazy all over Jolie's face... she looks like Satan fucked an alligator and she was their kid.

Always thought Aniston was hugely overrated.  Jolie was smoking hot when she was young and crazy.  Now she looks like Skeletor and is even more crazy.

Jolie enjoys anal cream pies.  Nuff said.
