Better late than never.  Don't forget to buy LOTS of ammo.  Ammo will be worth more than gold someday... sooner than later.   I have close to 40K rounds.

Rory just told me he feels uneasy about having a gun in the home, but he understands why its necessary.

Rory is perfectly fine with other people owning guns, but again, he won't fire one.

Why? If you ever got into repeated gun fights you are unlikely to survive that long.

If a congregation of Heebs rush him, he needs a lot of bullets.

Most of the rioters are armed with clubs/planks/irons/bricks etc so he will have an advantage (distance)

I am in the process of buying a gun myself. Given the laws of my socialist country where the perpetrator is the victim, i need something that doesn't kill but leaves the criminal incapacitated. What would you sugest? .22 caliper? Something small and easily portable.
Also i aim horribly so... something easy to learn and handle.

Also i aim horribly so... something easy to learn and handle.

And if the perpetrator is left alive, he will get revenge on you.

In most countries it's a long and complicated procedure to buy a firearm and may even require regular police inspections.

This is what I purchased

9mm Beretta, 17 round

Solid choice. You're getting a lot for your money. Striker fire polymer pistols are the way to go. Quite a departure for Beretta. I never care for double action pistols.

In certain U.S. States it's practically impossible to carry a handgun legally.

They killed another Korean by accident, and were definitely in the streets having gun fights with looters/gangsters. Those first and second generation didn't screw around. Way tougher people than they get credit for.

Also just about a year before, you had this killing, The Black vs Korean boycotts in NY and LA, Ice Cube's "Black Korea", and  a whole bunch of other things that made it to a boiling point by the time the riots kicked off -

One thing I've noticed is that anybody who claims that one should shoot to wound, say, target the leg or shoulder, or even better, shoot any weapon they have out of their hand, have never shot a handgun before.

Shooting a handgun halfway decently is not that easy. It's an acquired skill. The vast majority of people I've taken shooting for the first time can't even hit a human size target 15 feet away. Just the way they pull the trigger and brace for the recoil throws everything off. And this is under a stress-free controlled environment.

Good post and 100% true.  Shooting a handgun is nothing like what you see in movies (ie. using only one hand with no recoil because the blanks they use are only 25% of a real round).  Quite a different thing in real life.  When I go to the range I notice that most cannot even handle a 9mm with accuracy.  If they have a 40 or 45 they're all over the place.

Also, many, if not all, of the clueless will choose a small handgun with a 2-inch barrel thinking that it will be easier to handle and shoot than a six-inch barrel revolver like the S&W 586.

Try to shoot a .357 mag out of a two-inch barrel and see what happens.

Clint didn't handle a handgun well in those days. Seagal may be a dick but he knows how to shoot. Same with Norris and Keanu Reeves.

If a guy carries and prefers a 1911 chances are he knows his guns and how to handle them. That was always Seagal's preferred choice.

I’ve shot often with friends and know the basics.

Rory’s uncle is a certified firearms instructor. I’ll be meeting up with him very soon.

Rory's grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, all immigrated from another country, in order to flee communism in their country. They all came to the USA and became American citizens, and are gun totin' republican/conservatives (Rory was born in the US). Many people in her family are either law enforcement and/or worked for the FBI. Most of them own guns and are certified trainers. Rory prefers not to shoot, but understands why people need guns.

You have to go with what feels right in your hand.

You ask 100 different gun owners what to get and you get 100 different answers. Kind of like religion—everyone thinks they have the right religion; in this case, the right gun.

Plus, that gold AK needs gold furniture.  Where are the gold grips, gold buttstock, and gold magazines?

I never got an out of the box 1911 that I was completely happy with. Polishing the feed ramp, cleaning up the trigger, maybe tightened up the slide to frame fit... but once you get it properly tuned then there's nothing better. The only thing I did with my Glock was to replace the iron sights with tritium and polish the feed ramp so it was like glass. I was using the Corbons and they have a pretty flat hollow point so I would get a jam every now and then. After polishing the feed ramp it was 100%

And people think a cop, when their life is in danger, should shoot at the shoulder or leg or shoot the weapon out of someone's hand.

Only someone who has never fired a gun would make such a statement.

Help me understand this. Why would experience firing a gun make any difference in where to shoot someone other than the fact that their torso is a larger target? Shouldn't the police be expert marksmen, much more so than your average gun owner? I was under the impression they practice their skill at police firing ranges on a regular basis. If this is not the case, it should be.

It's great that SF1900 is hitting the firing range pretty regularly since getting his gun. The last thing we need is a bunch of amateurs with guns who can't shoot it properly or with any degree of accuracy. Who knows who they might accidentally shoot if called upon to use their weapon in self-defense.

Define expert marksmen?

Police and the military are trained to eliminate the threat, not make jism gulping old liberal phaggots feel good that killers are only getting their guns shot out of their hands.

Because it is not easy to fire a handgun. Even professional hand gunners, and because I use to shoot competitively I've seen some expert marksman, can't shoot accurately at a moving target the size of a tennis ball seven yards out. Remember, a cop shoots because his life is in danger. You want to stack the odds as much in your favor. If you decide you have to shoot someone to stop him it's probably your only chance to do so. You want to make it count.

Imagine running after someone and he turns around and points a weapon at you, forget for a moment whether or not you think it is lethal, it's easy to judge when it's not your life in danger. You are running, in motion, no chance to set, take a proper two-handed grip, a Weaver stance, and align your sights at night. It ain't going to happen. You are running, chasing a moving target, shooting with one hand which is even harder to do.

No, police officers are not expert Marksmen, nor are they expert fighters, or at a high level of physical condition and athleticism. To be an expert at anything you have to devote your life to that activity with countless hours and years of practice and training to be a Class A shooter or a martial art Blackbelt. They're cops who primarily write tickets, answer calls, and don't regularly get into physical confrontations. They're just cops, man. Regular Joes with lives and families and not super soldiers or special forces

Lots of cops only shoot their guns once a year at range qualifying time.

Lots of cops have never fired their guns while on active duty during long careers.

On TV shows cops get in gunfights and kill someone every episode.

Regular Joes with lives and families and not super soldiers or special forces
If you are going to hit anything you need to use both hands on a 9mm otherwise you won´t hit anything. people need to understand reality from hollywood shit

??? I shoot one handed all the time, 22, 9, 40, 45...doesn't matter. To be proficient, you should practice many different scenarios.

Hahahah...dude, there are hardly any hand guns to be found anywhere. I went to the Bass Pro Shop in Vegas, hardly anything on the way home I stopped off at the one off the 15 at Foothill...nothing. Asked for a Desert Eagle .44 and apparently they’re non-existent right now.

LOL!  I am far worse, believe me.  I do not own a gun and do not know how to shoot, unlike my brothers and sisters.  But then they are smarter than me.

As for the OP?  The only thing that fuckwit can shoot off is his mouth.  I've tried to be nice a few times but his raison d'être (look it up, SF you twit) is obvious.

Why not?

I am not smart enough.  Our father tried to teach me but one of the cruel things he said, and i suppose it's true in a way, was that I was so dumb and brainless that i couldn't even blow my own brains out.

He meant well and he loved me as I did him and I listend and even later when two of my brothers tried to teach me I could not do it.  The loud sound made me jump like a rabbit and a pistol was way out of the question. I was okay with a BB rifle or pellet rifle but they dont have that noise and kick.  I'm a wimp!  A conservative wimp, I know.  ;D

As my brothers used to say, a tard's got to know his limitations!   ;D  I have a sense of humor about myself.  It helps and there are people far worse off than me. I've me some.

But yeah...I can't shoot for shit, LOL!!!!!!

You can buy a firearm for home protection, you just can’t conceal/carry, correct?

Rory’s sister and the sisters fiancé are highly against guns.

They believe that people shouldn’t be allowed to own more than one gun, if at all.

People who don't know anything about guns talking about/having strong opinions on guns.

There is a huge difference between not owning guns and not knowing anything about them.

G17 gen 5 MOS
Extended handgrip
Streamlight laser/light combo
Holosun optic
Omega 9k suppressor
Loaded with Ranger Xp frangible ammo

It’s one of my guns I think I “lost” in a terrible boating accident, if the authorities ever found it, I’m sure it would be found at the bottom of a lake.

That's a beauty, I really hope they find it and return it to you.  Damn boating accidents.
