How exciting for you. Were you the only person there? No event was scheduled for December 15, 2020 this year, according to the White House calendar. Maybe it was on some special calendar for Coaches. Or, it was a spur of the moment thing with last minute invitations. How much did attendance run you? Trump is fund raising as you well know. Clearly, the parking limitations had no bearing unless you drove to D.C. from L.A. D.C. is like NYC, everyone takes the Metro (which is excellent BTW), a taxi or walks to their destination. Then again, you may have taken a limo, being a celebrity and all.
Biden sucks as far as being invited to events. Now, when Hilary was running for President, I got invitations to dinners and other events which were actually fund raisers all the time. Only problem was you had to pay (big bucks) to actually show up and more to get a seat. But then, Covid-19 wasn't yet an issue.
Maybe since Trump is a multi-billionaire who can fund his own campaigns and lawsuits ::), he's offering free attendance to these virus laden Christmas events. Honestly, if anyone deserves to get in free, you do. You are one of his most fervent supporters/admirers/suckers.

Supposedly masks are encouraged and even provided at these events. Clearly, they are not required nor is it required that you socially distance, since there is no way he and his 'date' are 6' away from each other. This being said, I don't think Coaches preexisting conditions are not the kind that make him more vulnerable to a bad outcome should he become infected.
Nobody has mentioned the diametric shift from democrat to far right republican (tea party) this woman has done in a relatively short time period. She doesn't look like a woman of color, but her absentee father was black, which might explain her supporting Obama. Her single baby mama struggled financially (think abject poverty), which also doesn't explain her political views as best as I can determine.
The bottom line is just as I said. She and Coach are two political peas in a pod. Coach's wife be warned, this woman could pose a real threat.

Don't be sorry. Is this your first time in D.C.? I remember the first time I was there. It was both amazing and disappointing. The amazing part are all the monuments and capital buildings. The Smithsonian was amazing. The National Museum of the American Indian on the National Mall, which was brand new at the time, blew me away. The disappointing part was all the panhandlers on the streets and the fact that most places were handicap inaccessible at a time when even in "Slab Town" Oregon, most sidewalks and public buildings were handicap accessible by law. I haven't been to a reception at the White House, but I did have lunch with Oregon Representative Kurt Schrader about 10 years ago in the Senate dining room, which felt like a pretty big deal at the time.
Take a ton of pictures. You'll enjoy looking at them for years to come. Not everyone has the chance to spend time in our Nation's Capital city. Have you had the chance to see much of the city? Have you visited Dupont Circle? It's such a fun part of the city....lot's of street side cafe's. Real Estate there is out of sight. Tiny apartments sell for a fortune. Oh, and get lots of postcards too. The photos on them are often better than any you can take yourself, unless of course you and your friends are in them.

lol...she’s a nice person. Nothing like that. We spent a few hours at the Trump hotel having cocktails, talking business and politics. Nothing more. It was just us two for the entire night.

The part for me was tagging along with my cousin on his meetings. 3 days 6-7 meetings a day with some of the most powerful people in Washington and just taking it in. I know he was in politics, worked in DC, etc but not at that capacity. He literally knows everyone and met with quite a few. all we did was talk politics nothing more nothing less

Being invited to a White House Christmas reception is a once in a lifetime thing for almost anyone, specially if they are not among the wealthy who can afford to pay big bucks to attend such an event.

Others in my group did and said it was a worthwhile experience. Instead, I had lunch in the Senate dinning room with my House Rep. It was a great, if very brief experience. He supposedly had another meeting to attend, so he chowed down in about 15 minutes and was gone. My cohort and I took our time finishing our lunch and enjoying the experience. I was excited because the dining chairs are the same as what I had/have in my dining room...who would have thought.
I still have these old lady antique ladder back chairs and want to sell them, so I can buy something more contemporary and iconic, like these Eames molded plywood dining chairs. I can't afford the originals so I will have to settle for knock offs.

Never-the-less, it's no skin off anyone's back if Coach was invited to participate in a White House Christmas reception. Let him enjoy the experience. Visiting D.C. is an amazing experience. Being invited to a White House Christmas reception is a once in a lifetime thing for almost anyone, specially if they are not among the wealthy who can afford to pay big bucks to attend such an event.
I've been to D.C. many times over the last several decades and somehow never arranged to take a tour of the White House, much less attend a reception there. Others in my group did and said it was a worthwhile experience. Instead, I had lunch in the Senate dinning room with my House Rep. It was a great, if very brief experience. He supposedly had another meeting to attend, so he chowed down in about 15 minutes and was gone. My cohort and I took our time finishing our lunch and enjoying the experience. I was excited because the dining chairs are the same as what I had/have in my dining room...who would have thought.

I clearly acknowledge more than once in the post you're commenting on a White House reception and not a tour, which is what it said on the notice you originally posted. So, it isn't clear to me why you got your shorts in a knot over this.
It does seem a bit odd that in the photos you've posted, which were taken inside the White House, you are either completely alone or with "your date" and there's no one else around with the exception of the exterior shot outside the east wing. Where are all the other people who attended the reception? Did you just wander around the White House unattended? Or, did they clear the room for your two photo ops? But hey, what do I know about these things. I haven't been to any White House events either a tour or a reception.

If he's been able to sit at the President's desk that would have been monumental, don't you think. Not having ever visited the White House, I wouldn't know if that were even possible. He did get a photo of the door to the Vice President's office though.
I have no reason to doubt Coach about his White House reception opportunity. His cousin probably got him invited based on what he's posted. There is no reason to think Coach's cousin isn't a high ranking official with a lot of influence.

Hmm. Interesting thought. No doubt there were a lot of overcoats to deal with at this reception. Since the folks at the White House aren't know for being particularly concerned about Covid-19 (based on the fact that masks are still not on not required they are far too infrequently worn judging some event photos. I doubt they are very concerned about getting germs on coats.
Like I posted, it might have been cooler in the basement or it's also possible that was before or after the reception and either still in their coats or had already picked them up.

I agree that the false and inflammatory information spread about voter fraud was harmful in a very big way as we witnessed on January 6, 2020.
Unless we find out otherwise, Coach did not go to D.C. last Wednesday to riot and storm the Capitol. If he did, he made a very bad decision, but he had a choice whether to get involved or not, just as everyone did who rioted the other day.
Unless every one of those rioters was a zombie or a robot, they are responsible for their actions and will pay if prosecuted and convicted. The, "I only did it because he (Trump) told me to" defense won't and shouldn't work.
Although it is harder to prove and convict people who commit sedition, such as Trump and some others did, it could happen and then they should be appropriately punished according to the law as well.
As an aside, Sidney Powell was just sued by Dominion for billions of dollars for repeatedly making false accusations against them.
