Aside from Arnold, which other bodybuilder did Joe Weider supposedly help become a Hollywood star?

Arnold seems so humble when in the presence of a huge Hollywood star like Lou.

Lou = very low IQ individual

wow
-
Still be modeling nudes for photographers other than Annie Leibovitz.
-
Guessing neither Arnold or Lou would be famous without Joe and the Bodybuilding-exposure.
-
Arnold would still have Lots of money.
His first dough he had to spend on business ventures seemed to have come from the German gay community. Arnold is clever and ruthless - he would have made a good living for himself no matter what.

But not be a moviestar and marrying a Kennedy
-
arnold would of still been a movie star with or without joe. That was his goal. The only thing joe helped him with was hercules in new york film. arnold used joe to get him to america to be the best and then he took it from there. joe used arnold too. he needed someone who could sell mags supps etc and be a spokseman for bodybuilding. no one else could before and no one else has since arnold. Now as far as louie he wouldnt of been anywhere without arnold. arnold turned down the hulk role and told them to contact louie cuz louie was bigger than arnold.

Differing opinion from everyone of course, but I think that without Joe, Arnold would have been nowhere close to where he is today.

Agree fully.
Without all the exposure he got from Joe (and that hercules in new york-abomination), he would NOT be any where close.
No moviecareer, no political career.
Maybe some prominent fitness/bodybuilding-figure, sure!

“Selling DVDs? DVDs?”
-
where would joe be without Arnold. originally Arnold contacted bob Hoffman to go to work for him and York barbell. he was told that York didn't need or want a professional bodybuilder. enter weider. weider taught him and Lou both how to sue for fun and profit.

“Selling DVDs? DVDs?”
Did you pick up on the level of pity and condescension Arnold had towards Lou when he asked him about DVD sales?
Here's Arnold after making close to half a billion from gross movie revenue, having served as governor of CA and being regarded as the greatest bodybuilder of all time entertaining Lou for half a minute and asking whether he was selling DVDs. Arnold probably for a brief moment thought, "this gimp once thought he was on my level, look at him now selling $10 DVDs to hopefully make this month's rent".
If you were Lou, how would you feel after getting home and evaluating your interactions during the day?

:D I think Lou's wife has the rent covered.

Arnold was and still is a very ambitious person. If he hadn't been mentored by Weider, he would still very likely have become famous. Success isn't always a result of good luck. Sometimes it is good luck, other times it is a combination of good luck and ambition and sometimes it's just having enormous drive, so much so that you overcome any obstacles put in your path.

Unloading trucks in Transylvania
That was a good one.

I met a guy who was a soundman on the old Merv Griffin Show. He said it was Merv Griffin who taught Arnold how to invest and deal with money...and a lot of his initial cash came from his appearances on the Merv Griffin Show.
