Another day and another potential crime by THE TRAITOR
We found out last week that THE TRAITOR had a habit of tearing up documents even when he was repeatedly told that all documents had to be retained to comply with the Presidential Records Act and then we learned this week that THE TRAITOR had taken boxes of documents from that White House that had to be retrieved by the National Archives.
National Archives asks Justice Department to probe Trump's handling of White House records
The National Archives and Records Administration has asked the Justice Department to examine whether former President Donald Trump’s handling of White House records violated federal law, two administration officials told NBC News.
One official said it's unclear whether the DOJ would take up the request, saying that this is all very preliminary. The Washington Post was first to report on the National Archives’ request.
The Justice Department and National Archives declined requests for comment.
The request to the Justice Department came just days after the National Archives said that Trump had to return 15 boxes of documents that were improperly taken from the White House.
In mid-January 2022, the National Archives "arranged for the transport from the Trump Mar-a-Lago property in Florida to the National Archives of 15 boxes that contained Presidential records, following discussions with President Trump’s representatives in 2021,” the National Archives said in a statement.
Among the items Trump had to return were correspondence with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that Trump has described as “beautiful letters," two sources told the Washington Post, as well as a handwritten letter that former President Barack Obama had left behind in the Oval Office for his successor. NBC News has not independently confirmed the contents of the boxes.
The National Archives also previously found that some Trump had ripped out some White House documents preserved by the agency, which had to be taped back together by government officials.

Former President Trump on Thursday morning dismissed as "Fake News" recent news reports that federal officials went to his Florida residence to recover White House documents suspected of including classified information.
"The media's characterization of my relationship with [the National Archives and Records Administration] is Fake News," Trump said in a statement. "It was exactly the opposite! It was a great honor to work with NARA to help formally preserve the Trump Legacy."
The statement also says NARA "openly and willingly" arranged with Trump for "the transport of boxes that contained letters, records, newspapers, magazines and various articles" from Mar-a-Lago following "collaborative and respectful discussions."
Mainstream media reports in recent days stated NARA was concerned that the former president was in possession of classified information including letters sent from North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
According to the New York Times, NARA collaborated with the Justice Department in its effort to reclaim the materials from Trump and examine the former president's handling of the White House records.
"In actuality, I have been told I was under no obligation to give this material based on various legal rulings that have been made over the years," Trump also said in a statement.
He also dismissed a claim made in a forthcoming book by The New York Times' Maggie Haberman, a White House correspondent during the Trump era.
Haberman claims White House staffers periodically found globs of printed paper clogging toilets and believed the then-president had flushed the documents.
"Another fake story that I flushed papers and documents down a White House toilet," Trump wrote, "categorically untrue and simply made up by a reporter in order to get publicity for a mostly fictitious book."

According to Axios, Trump's aides were not pleased with his decision to talk to her — as he's done with other reporters who later published unflattering books about his presidency — but realized he couldn't help himself and they couldn't stop him.

Just today, I read a hysterical article about Trump's bathroom peculiarities. Apparently, he believes one must flush 10 or 15 times to clear the toilet bowl of all the crap. Turns out in his case some of the shit was torn or wadded up documents. Unfortunately for Trump, his multi flushes didn't stop wads of paper from constantly clogging the drain lines. Someone forgot to mention to him that the White House is an old building with antiquated plumbing.
Wouldn’t it be colossally funny if his affinity for destroying federally protected documents is what brings him down?
