This is what I have gathered from reports I have read.

Although I don't think poking fun at Ron's body weight has always resulted in bans [if ever], I personally took issue with Bast coming in here and within ten posts, bashing Ron.

I don't know...to me, it isn't cool to bash someone for their BMI in a baseless fashion. If Ron had bashed Bast first, I would say it would have been fair game. I guess I just don't understand personal attacks, unless they are in self-defense.
And Bast also posted a whole bunch of new threads right off the bast.
In a way that seemed spam-like. I felt it was personally a bit much. But it was the Ron-bashing that I felt triggered the ban. It's one thing to make critiques in a constructive way, or to respond to a personal attack - I just don't know why anyone would get on a board and bash the board owner right off the bat, on something as petty as body weight at that, and expect to be posting for long.
Too bad about that. I told him I'd check in to why he was banned. I did...so that's that. I'm not sure what he expected.
I think he felt that Getbig has an "anything goes" attitude - and while it superficially seems that way, there are still rules [i.e., no bashing someone's wife/family, and other rules like that]. So it's not exactly a free-for-all, even though it sometimes seems that way.

The topic was supposed to be [among other things] why TA got banned. Then after I went into detail about age of consent laws in North America and worldwide, Bast's idiot friend chimes in about climate change, claiming that the podcast has no topic, so we can talk about anything.
Having no topic doesn't mean responding to a comment about age of consent with some jibberish about climate change. It means to stay on topic, and segue into other topics in a fluid way.
The other thing both Bast and his friend did was to talk over each other constantly. When I have something to say, it's because I know plenty of details, and it's my intention to talk until my point is made.
There's also an intelligent way to interrupt someone - like, you can say "And...", then wait to see if the other person STOPS speaking. What both the dumb fucks Bast and Dino did were to just go on talking as I was clearly still talking. Normally when you interrupt someone and they are STILL talking, you stop and that person is then prompted with the knowledge that someone else wants to speak, sort of as a que to keep things short, and stop talking, to let the rest get their words in.
But no, they would just start talking as I was clearly making a coherent point.
It's also ok to interrupt when someone talks to much, but there is a way to do that to. These idiots were both just talking over each over. Absolute children, both of them.
Very disappointing.
I guess Bast's point was that a person wouldn't get banned from Facebook for saying "I think Ted Bundy did nothing wrong" - and TA said [from his own mouth, in a recent e-mail] said that he said "Jeffrey Epstein did nothing wrong."

I think the point is, Getbig is known as a free-for-all speech forum - but it's not known to support pedophilia. There ARE rules.

One of the things that goes against the site is when individuals take disputes off the board. Goodrum did that to Derek Anthony when he sent material to Derek's father. Josh has often
done things to people off the boards. Goodrum started up a website in my name to defame me. That is hardly stellar behaviour and why I call Melvin a low life.

In that video, Bast and his friend came across as charlatans whose main purpose were to push the boundaries for what can be allowed, and not allowed on Getbig. I don't condone this. They can go somewhere else and act like immature teenagers for all I care.
