the point about women-only spaces being invaded is valid and the punishments being meted out for hate speech are wrong, i agree. ive worked w transgender folks before and it wasnt a big deal to call them by their preferred name ....but i'd certainly draw the line at buying tampons for them ;D
maybe 'irrelevant' is hyperbole but i live in a major democrat city and would have to go looking to find a transgender--let alone have my life impacted by them. Meanwhile my grocery bill is 75% more than it was 2 years ago, gas prices have skyrocketed, lumber costs 4-5x what it did 2 years ago, supply chain issues are causing shortages--all of these are issues that we're all facing everyday, but for which little meaningful action is being taken. but anti-trans legislation is being passed left and right and it makes me mad that THIS is what our elected officials act on.

I'll try to find the figures, but for example the number of male sex-offenders declaring themselves women - at the point of arrest - to get into women's prisons and then 'de-transitioning' upon release is certainly growing in the UK.
