great, well reasoned response. seriously - thanks for taking the time to write it. i have a daughter and a wife as well and truthfully i fear more that they'll suffer violence or sexual assault at the hands of a regular man, and i believe crime stats bear that out. are there sexual assaults committed by transgenders? sure but they are few and far between..
the point about women-only spaces being invaded is valid and the punishments being meted out for hate speech are wrong, i agree. ive worked w transgender folks before and it wasnt a big deal to call them by their preferred name ....but i'd certainly draw the line at buying tampons for them 
maybe 'irrelevant' is hyperbole but i live in a major democrat city and would have to go looking to find a transgender--let alone have my life impacted by them. Meanwhile my grocery bill is 75% more than it was 2 years ago, gas prices have skyrocketed, lumber costs 4-5x what it did 2 years ago, supply chain issues are causing shortages--all of these are issues that we're all facing everyday, but for which little meaningful action is being taken. but anti-trans legislation is being passed left and right and it makes me mad that THIS is what our elected officials act on.

right now. Single figures per year? Sure... BUT again, please think 'thin end of the wedge' when it comes to simple self-identification of gender
I'll try to find the figures, but for example the number of male sex-offenders declaring themselves women -
at the point of arrest - to get into women's prisons and then 'de-transitioning' upon release is certainly growing in the UK. As is the number of sexual attacks by trans-women on biological women in prison settings
And you and I both know that once this is all normalised, perverts will exploit this more and more - that's my fear
To be clear, I am genuinely not homo/trans/whatever-phobic - but there are - and I believe there always should be - limits
