The white guy. He used to be a regular poster on here. His handle was “bigbadwolf”
Ok. RIP. What was the cause of death? Heart attack? How old was he?
-
Yeah he used to post here.
Huge guy who was strong as an ox.
PIP
-
From what i remember he downsized and "retired" in like 2009. Got down to like 275 pounds.
Then came back a few years later and started gaining weight again.
His last PL meet he was 390 pounds.
Such a shame.

I always thought that was Dennis Wolf.
-
Enjoyed his posts.
RIP.
If you read this, grab a calculator, and jump on a scale. Type 2022 into the calculator, then subtract your birthyear. If that number is 40 or more and the number the scale tells you is greater than 250; seriously consider quitting all excess gear and put the fork down.
Too many people have been dying.

RIP

I always thought that was Dennis Wolf.
Me too. He had the blue stars
-
A regular poster here and strong as a bull. Competed over 400 lbs at one point but decided to try to get his weigh into the low 200s. RIP.
-
This should be pinned...loved that guy
-
I always thought that was Dennis Wolf.
Mike Wolfe pre-dated that nickname from Dennis Wolf. Mike was on here in 2005, which was very close to when Dennis Wolf's pro career started.
But I don't think Dennis picked up the "Big Bad Wolf" moniker until 2007. You could probably track down a 2007 interview of Lonnie Teper interviewing him, and giving him that name. If I had to guess, that's where he got it.
As for Mike - he was born in 1974, I think. So he would only be 47, or 48 at most. That's way too young.
RIP Mike.

Mike's postings here -

It's sad, for those that don't know, he was a member of Westside for a few years, and was broken up about the passing of Louie. Now he passes. Rough few years.
RIP.

I don't understand - are there no symptoms, and people just have a heart attack, and drop dead?
It's just strange to me how this happens.

Oh brother. :-\
-
Oh brother. :-\
I'm just wondering how so many men within our industry [Strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding] can stay so heavy so long, without reading the writing on the wall. As a hyper-stimulated autistic, I can basically feel my heart beat at 55 beats a minute.
There's no chance I could get to the point that some of these guys got to without noticing problems.
Do most notice the writing on the wall, but ignore it? Or do some just go from feeling perfectly well, to dropping dead?
I remember in 2013, when top Strongman Mike Jenkins died. He was just feeling normal one day, and didn't wake up the next. He had only just turned 31. He was 6'6" and 390-lb, but basically went from being in Strongman contest form, to being dead.
-
RIP. He was a cool dude on here.
-
Awful news…
He was a good poster and was a friendly dude.
Didn’t he say he was a welder? I had no idea he was so heavy. Welding at his weight must have been brutal.

Lots of people ignore the symptoms or neglect to see a physician to catch problems early. Dunno if that's what happened here ...RIP in peace to the guy

Agreed.
Everyone should plan their heart attacks around important events...like vacations, weddings, births, etc.

Good man. 100 percent Legit.

Very sad. Super good guy. Always helpful with tips.

Rip big fella...
My late brother died from a massive heart attack in his sleep at age 38
From his mobile phone's search history I found out he searched
Heart attack symptoms
Angina pectoris
Heaviness on chest...
Tragically he developed these symptoms two weeks prior his demise.
He visited a cardiologist and under gone effort test which was ok
Later I discussed with her doctor, she said he had elevated blood levels and slightly elevated BP
She said it is not possible to realize clogging without angiogram if it is not over 70 percent
There are definitely signs but they develop suddenly and for a massive powerlifter it wouldn't take too long for some kind of blood clot resulting a massive heart attack, as high intensity exercise is a big risk if arteries are clogged.
P.S: Arythmia is a very serious sign. Both of my parents died shortly after developing arythmia.
-
Man, there seems to be pretty much a death every other wk on this board :( :-\

He was my client, and tried helping him lose weight after he did it once on his own. Slimmed down to 300 then started again to bulk to 420. I learned a lot frim him about benching. Great guy, had a wife and daughter I believe. I am nit sure why people do not understand that artificial hormonization coupled with massive food intake will take its toll.

Extremes of anything will kill you, Mike was extreme.

Saw this on IG and recognized the guy in the pic but didn't immediately make the connection to the poster here.
He was gargantuan. There are a few powerlifters who have downsized but they all say it's a constant fight. Here's one PL I've seen on IG who downsized over several years.

Dizenzo's downsizing is crazy. Great skin elasticity, I'd never guess it was the same guy I watched on youtube chase and get #405 up. Wendler is another that came off nicely, except for his propensity for facial bloat -
.

A mental fight, I assume they mean? Otherwise that’s like Tom Prince (PBUH) or whoever who said he could never go below 220 or whatever dumbass thing it was

He said 245-250.
And yeah, that would be hard for him ON STEROIDS.
It didn't cross TP's mind how easily you drop weight without PED's.
Speaking of struggling with weight loss, Valuetainment just interviewed Ethan Suplee. He looks like he might be up 50-lb from his 265 bodybuilder look he had in 2020.
Food addiction must be so hard to deal with.

Just eating less is too hard.
Being hungry 24/7 is a recipe for failure.

Followed him on social media and he was always friendly and witty. Terrible loss for his family… sad for his friends and fans. RIP.

He had Covid a while back, seems it might've been more serious than I thought -
"Just want to take a minute to Thank my long time buddy Dave Wallace, his wife Jamie, the whole crew from Jamie’s Place and everyone who showed up last for the benefit. Thank You! You guys are all amazing and we are beyond blessed to have friends and family like you guys!
It’s been a long road I never thought when I woke up in the hospital in Oct that I’d still be sitting in a rehab facility going into March but here we are! On the positive side Yes Covid kicked my ass but I’m still here and fighting to get back to a normal life!
With that said there is no way in hell I’d be able to do this without my wife at my side. I can be having a bad day and when she walks into my room all that goes away and the smile comes out. She has been my rock, my foundation to build off of. Thank You Baby - I love you!
Once again Thank You to everyone there last night supporting the benefit and helping out!".
-
^ That's a pity. :(
Looks like Mike had some health issues for a while now - and he was 425-lb at his biggest. :o I thought he was 5'10", but I can't remember why I thought that.
Does anyone know? For perspective, Greg Kovacs was 6'2", and his heaviest was 416-lb.
Blew my pec out yesterday in a bench contest. Two weeks ago I had a slight tear in it with 680 off a 1 board, felt it tear at the lockout. Spent the last two weeks trying to rush rehab it with ice massage and tens unit. Showed up at contest down by Nashville yesterday opened with 630 smoked it. I then jumped to 655 felt it pull a bit on my chest but pushed it anyways lost it bout half way up. Took it again and as soon as I went to push "POP" went the pec and it sat on me. I thought I truly had a legit shot at 680-700 at this meet but my body said other wise. I weighed in at a HUGE 424 which was one pound off my all time biggest.
I promised the wife after this contest I would back off everything and focus on getting healthy again. I'm a fucking mess right now, BP is through the roof, arthritis is fucking killing me, knees are both shot and my anxiety is out of the fucking roof. So as I sit here eating my last Sunday night Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia Ice Cream for a year I'm figuring out my game plan to drop this chub and become a stud again.
Wish me luck and dedication fuckers!!! When I'm all said and done there will only be one Big Bad Wolfe everyone will be Dennis who? Hahahaha!!!!
-
Looks like Mike had been getting healthy for a while:
Big bencher Mike Wolfe has announced that he is done competing. Wolfe tipped the scales at over 400 pounds for much of his competitive powerlifting career but last month competed as a 275 and bench pressed 525 pounds raw. Wolfe was a top presser both in and out of gear with top benches of 859 pounds and 600 pounds raw. Wolfe has opened a gym and is now coaching. Wolfe at WannaBeBig: "My body weight was 269 today that puts me down a 151 pounds since starting I feel great. Im done competing for good... Im coaching fulltime now and got a great crew. We just openeda new gym here in Celina Ohio it is a 24 hr key club and we got everything a powerlifter needs to make gains except a monolift... My goals now are to stay healthy and get down to 210 so I will be half the man I was. Ive lost size and muscle and strength but Im healthy as I could ever be!!!"

Just eating less is too hard.
Being hungry 24/7 is a recipe for failure.
You need to do keto so you can feel full.
I just dropped my calories down to 2000-2200 a day, eating anything I want. It has been a max of 100 g protein, 75-100 g fat and the balance carbs (~200). It was hard at first to eat that little relative to what I had been eating but I'm roughly 10 weeks into it and it is easy to get by on that number now. I have lost on average 2 pounds a week. I started at 220 and am now at 201 as of today. No hunger pangs. Target weight is 190.
A calorie app is super helpful. I use one called Fat Secret and it has made me aware of what I eat. My cardio averages only 2 hrs a week but soon I'll start cycling longer and it'll be 4-5 hours so I'll adjust the calories up to 2500 a day when I do.
Keto and me don't get along.

He must have been a massive wonder in person. Six feet under 420-lb...apparently, he was frequently 420 from what I can tell [or...close enough].
He slimmed down to 275 by 2017...I wonder if he wasn't able to keep the weight off in the past five years. I can't really tell from that hospital picture - he still looks huge, but could easily be over 300 there.
He said he wanted to drop to 210 - I think that would have been ideal for him.
-

Tom Prince said he doubted he could go down under 250lbs, and used Chris Cormier as an example saying Chris didn't train for 8 months or so but couldn't get under 265lbs. In reality, Tom was a mass monster. If it wasn't for all his health problems, he could probably be around 200 clean with 1 or 2 workouts a week with an average joe diet.

He was big, I'd guess mid 3's. Last meet a year and a half ago, he was #399. Once you've been a SHW/Unlimited lifter, it's very hard to let the weight and lifting at that level go.

Show some respect idiot, stop hijacking such topics with your vaccination obsession. Go to a psychiatrist. You suffer from confirmation bias. You probably write online that you personally know hundreds that died after being vaccinated.
You know what: they dropped dead from you stalking them with your loonie conspiracy madness for 25 hours per day.
This topic is about Mike Wolf, not about your mental problems.

Reminds me of some of these NFL linemen who shrink down. Matt Birk a center for the Ravens and Vikings did it as well as Joe Thomas. Almost unrecognizable.

I'd be at any money on that - dare I even say once a month?
Two wimpy workouts a week, and Tom would have still been huge any ordinary standard thing.
Yes, it was easy for him to stay 250...on gear. As a natural? Not so much. To stay over 200 though, yes - absolutely.

In NO PLACE in my post did I mention the vaccine.
Considering there have been a solid TWENTY FIVE or more bodybuilder and fitness/figure deaths since the VACCINE rollout [not since the virus - since the vaccine], that is a discussion we must have.
And like it or not, Skylge - we will continue to see deaths that can't be explained by anything but the vaccines and boosters.
As for your comments - that I'm not a doctor. Lmao, I'd sit down to an IQ test with your doctor ANY TIME YOU WANT. ANY FUCKING TIME.
Also - does it take a DOCTOR to do long division?
The American Covid deaths are all BULLSHIT - because private hospitals get paid $13,000 to FRAUDULENTLY call deaths Covid [in the USA, if you trigger a bullshit PCR test, and have the police step on your neck while you are overdosing on Fentanyl, you will get classified as Covid, like with George Floyd in Minnesota, HAHAHAHAHAHA, YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS SHIT UP].
In Canada, only 2,729 of 28,557,431 Canadians under 60 have died of Covid. So you know what that means? OVER 99.99% SURVIVED.
Lastly Skylge - do you think I give TWO FUCKING SHITS if you want to be part of a HUMAN MEDICAL TRIAL FOR UNTESTED PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGY?
No, I don't! I would NEVER make you be part of such a trial, and I STRONGLY encourage you to stop taking further boosters, but if you are mathematically illiterate, and don't understand that a 1 in 10,000 - if not 1 in 1,000,000 chance of dying of Covid [depending on your age and health status] is a low probability, then what do you think I'll say?
Knock yourself out, Skylge - get boosted perpetually [what's up with the boosters? I thought the first shot was 95% effective? Lol]. I'm not stopping you. As I said, I STRONGLY discourage any healthy person under 65 - and ESPECIALLY under 30 from getting these shots, but if you want to...go for it.
It's hard to express how much of a complete joke this virus is - but do me a favour, Skylge: IF YOU HATE MY POSTS, PUT ME ON YOUR FUCKING IGNORE LIST.
All I do is post objective data. If you think a virus is deadly that you don't anyone who has died of in over two years...so be it. Get boosted, dude.
I put a lot of time and effort making incredibly well-researched posts. I go online to collect death figures, census figures, and other figures, to compile information like that seen below.
And then you come on here and disrespect my efforts by saying you'll trust the Mayo Clinic, WHEN LITERALLY NOTHING I POST REPRESENTS AN OPINION.
If ANYTHING I say is wrong, then refute my post! Failing to do that, just put me on ignore, dude.
As for this virus - OOH, I'M GETTING SO SCARED. BETTER GO LINE UP FOR MY JABS AND BOOSTERS...LMAO:
-
^ That very last figure in the last image is cut off.
It's 1,627,921.
LMAO. I'm getting so scared!!!
22,872 of 1,627,921 Canadians over the age of 80 have died!!!
Only 98.60% survived this pandemic - among Canadians *over 80*, Skylge.
Stop and think about that for a second.
Like I said - don't let me stop you from getting yourself boosted in perpetuity. This mRNA technology has a lot of promise. Why would I want to stop you from voluntarily being part of a human trial for it?

Youre telling me that 98.6% of frail/elderly 80+ people, who are already past the age of normal life-expectancy have survived this scary and deadly scamdemic??? ??? ??? ???
(Most of the 1.4% would have died anyways). NO ONES DYING OF COVID.

A total of 15 players were unable to finish the Miami Open 2022 tennis tournament, including the male and female favourites. All of the players must be “fully vaccinated” to compete, the Liberty Daily wrote, “just as we’ve noted for several months, most major sports have been hit with ‘inexplicable’ medical conditions popping up in young and otherwise healthy athletes, including our report that three cyclists fell in March alone.”
The so-called health professionals running the Covid “vaccine” programs around the world keep repeating that “the Covid vaccine is a normal vaccine and it is safe and effective.” But as of the end of last month, Good Sciencing has recorded 833 athletes, worldwide, who have had cardiac arrests or other serious issues, with 540 dead, post-Covid injection.
CLICK HERE TO VIEW INFOGRAPHIC ON ATHLETE COLLAPSES AND DEATHS, 2021 – 2022
Post-vaccination injuries in athletes include cardiac arrest; blood clots or thrombosis; stroke; irregular heartbeat; arrhythmia; neuropathy; and, death. With most of the post-injection injuries being cardiac arrests.
Good Sciencing is a small team of investigators, news editors, journalists, and truth seekers. They state on their website:
“It doesn’t really matter who we are. What really matters is that we care carrying on an investigation and we’re presenting the evidence we’ve found, almost all of it documented in mainstream media publications. We’re doing this anonymously because we’ve seen people viciously attacked and threatened for doing things like this, so we’re not going to open ourselves or any of our contacts to that.”
As well as receiving new cases and updates from alert readers, they note that they are also receiving hate mail and death threats.
Good Sciencing has a non-exhaustive and continuously growing list of mainly young athletes who had major medical issues in 2021/2022 after receiving one or more Covid injections. You can view the list HERE.
