I want to using my computer while I lay down on my carpet, this in order to hopefully alleviate back pain
I was thinking of something along these lines

Did you ever hang the 100 tv over your bed?

no it seems risky and obscene. I have a 21,5" monitor which I am now thinking about setting up for this purpose. I could just use some wood and just build a simple supporting frame perhaps ???

Splurge and get a "scorpion" style gaming chair.

No but I really want to get one.
You should buy one and report back.

Went to visit my nephew who has a bunk bed and he hangs his tablet off the top bunks rails so it's similar to this and then uses a usb mouse to navigate. The set up was comfortable as fuck.

i have to admit i am tempted but i would have immense buyers remorse after such a purchase
-
I did eventually order a split ortholinear keyboard as part of my overall preparation of a mad setup where I can lie down on the carpet

Yeah be very easy to frame something up to hold a 21.5 monitor.

rights? And on wooden guard rails i could add some cushioning to improve grip and avoid scratching
All that is left then is rolling up a towel to serve as a cervical support pillow
-
I ordered this keyboard setup which I will put on the floor with my arms spread out

Just cut a hole in a sturdy box and glue the monitor into it. Second hand coffins can be had cheap. A mechanic's creeper would be good to get in and out. Just ask for one at your local Jiffy Lube. They're always trying to give them away.
-
You can also just glue it up without cutting a hole. A picnic bench and an old oven make a formidable combination. Just shim the assemblage until it's properly cromulated.

It would probably be easier to just get a projector to put your computer screen onto your ceiling. Like one of those Roku things but for your computer instead of TV.
-
Have you considered using a strong double sided tape?
No construction involved and its literally the most economical option.
-
Maybe I need to do stretching and strengthen my back instead
-
Looks like this gimmick has already run out of material:

This guy seems legit. I will try
-
Is your Monitor an LG?
-
Maybe we're coming at this all wrong. What if
Instead of suspending the screen
Stick Helmet
With telescopic stick capability.
-
just get the meta headset and use virtual monitors
-
Then I was going to suggest magnification, save money on a monitor to spend on sticks etc but
Don't you think she'd be like "omg tweezer that one up and get him in, he's the way strongest swimmer."

Guys. I once again went back to the drawing board and came up with this
-strip down bed to wooden board with 2 sheets (no mushy mattress again!)
-rolled up towel for cervical support
-used the chair to tie the laptop to the chair cushion with my leather belt. Made sure no risk of scratch or damage that way because laptop costs money
-wireless keyboard
-mouse
By next week I am expecting my unilateral ortholinear keyboard and I will have the ultimate ergonomically brilliant and overall low cost and responsible solution
-
Ahhh yessss offff course!!!!
Now just change the screen settings to upside down my screen and I am golden

Been only a few minutes but I already feel relief in my back. Removing the matress was a great idea, I can actually feel my shoulder blades position now against the wooden board. And for sure once I can get that split keyboard and angle each side of the keyboard 45 - 60 degrees up from the wooden board, as well as widen my arm position away from my body, it should dramatically improve my posture over the course of the day, and so hopefully contribute to relieving back pain over the longer term

Looks intricate bro.
Can you supinate while typing on this contraption?

Been thinking about the same. In theory you could fix it upside down to the underside of some small table like objects you would put over each hand. Anything is possible
However it may be nicer typing experience to have gravity pulling your hands to the keys

I received from taiwan in the mail this funky keyboard. Very expensive and also import costs
Very bad experience, I dont recommend it. Basically.guys who are using this are all going down insane rabbitholesof alternative keyboard layouts
-
shut up pamith
Hahahaha.
-
I want to ellaborate on why I consider alternative keyboard layouts as a no-go.
When you are working with other people, they will always use normal keyboard layouts, you need to be able to work very efficiently with the standardized keyboard layout.
When you go down the rabbit hole of alternative "superior" keyboard layouts you are basically destroying 20-30+ years of training and muscle memory. You will end up looking like a total noob when it really counts

I have a feeling that you are the only person who owns this type of keyboard. :D

Address your back pain however you can like with a posture brace.
