no it seems risky and obscene. I have a 21,5" monitor which I am now thinking about setting up for this purpose. I could just use some wood and just build a simple supporting frame perhaps

Went to visit my nephew who has a bunk bed and he hangs his tablet off the top bunks rails so it's similar to this and then uses a usb mouse to navigate. The set up was comfortable as fuck.

Just cut a hole in a sturdy box and glue the monitor into it. Second hand coffins can be had cheap. A mechanic's creeper would be good to get in and out. Just ask for one at your local Jiffy Lube. They're always trying to give them away.

You can also just glue it up without cutting a hole. A picnic bench and an old oven make a formidable combination. Just shim the assemblage until it's properly cromulated.

It would probably be easier to just get a projector to put your computer screen onto your ceiling. Like one of those Roku things but for your computer instead of TV.

No construction involved and it’s literally the most economical option.
