More info on what a "Jobber" is.

Sid was big! Spivey looked a little taller, even though he was billed at 6'-8" vs Sid's 6'-9".

Sid LOVED softball. He also should’ve won an Emmy for his supporting role in the Shockmaster’s debut. “I DON’T CARE WHO YOU ARE BOY!”

We must have the same youtube algorithm Kwon. Every video you put up I've watched a couple days ago. I just watched this one. Sid might be the most physically impressive wrestler ever. That much muscle being that tall. How fucking intimidating must he have been in real life

Spivey was taller but he wasn't yoked like Sid

That’s one of the greatest few minutes in the history of this world.

Back in the early 90s my roommate at the time was a pro wrestler locally and he was picked up by the WWF as a jobber when they came to town to drop for Mr. perfect. Somehow WWF heard that he was going to try to shoot on perfect so they taught him a lesson by putting him against warlord. And my buddy was 511 290 and could rep out five plates easy on the bench but warlord ragdolledl him very easy and hurt him pretty bad

He may not have done well on Perfect either. Henning could really wrestle.

the thing was he wasn't even gonna try. not sure how the wwf heard he would.
but warlord was massive. he tossed my buddy around like nothing. never set foot in the ring again.
but being an unknown who was physically much bigger than Kurt i guess they didn't want to chance it.

That’s a great story.
I lifted (sort of. More like spotted, etc.) with Warlord once when he was in town with the WWF. Absolutely gigantic man.

I read a while back that the dude was on a "probationary" period with the company during that time and decided that it would be best to go into business for himself and try to make himself look tough as nail and bypass the usual "put your time in" phase.
He didn't last long at all from my understanding.
Jim Cornett once told a story about a jobber that was the same way and a match he had with the Midnight Express that he would not sell for anything. His tag partner basically took a dive outside the ring and left him alone because he didn't want to piss Dennis Condrey off. The man in the ring would not stay down for shit and even when he was pinned, it was clear that the ref counted to 2 before he got his shoulders and head up. Ref just basically called the match over then and awarded Midnight Express the win. Said Dennis and Bobby really went to town on him at that point. And even after the beating, he was scooting over on the mat and trying to kick Bobby in the butt. Which resulted in another beating.
Gypsy Joe was a bad no sell too. The match with New Jack was a clear testament that New Jack allowed him to live that day.

the friend i'm talking about was one of the strongest guys in calgary. 290 lbs
squatted 735 for reps with no belt or knee wraps
deadlifted 8 plates for a double with no wrist wraps
benched 5 plates for five strict reps in a t-shirt.
warlord dwarfed him.
and i am an absolute stickler with remembering weights and reps with strict form. detest liars

No, he was just coked up a bit too much. He know how to wrestle and job but he was clearly out of it the moment he got in the ring. Plenty of matches with him doing his usual work. You have to look under Mike Blackhart instead of Blackwell.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug

The Powers of Pain fuckin ruled! Especially when Mr. Fuji got involved with his “ceremonial salts” if you know what I mean
