Maddox ain’t making eight at this point. His time has passed. Even still, his presses close-to aren’t NEAR as impressive as Sarychev’s 738.5. That lift is picture-perfect. Zero compression rebound and with a legit pause.
Kirill, for my money, is, as of 2023, the bench press KING.
a 1400-pound lift is simply nonsense. It’s a circus sideshow spectacle at best.

It's hard to tell, he's been a shirt guy most of his years, the only raw bench contest number he has is #450ish done as a teenager. But then he posts something like this, that shows there is power out of the shirt -

Two feet is a LONG distance to press a weight.

Some need to quit with the arch-criticism. Yes, absurd contortionist arches are ridiculous, but if you’re interested in bench pressing correctly and to minimally chance injury, to pinch your shoulder blades and properly-biomechanically secure an arch to your spine is the ticket.

I feel there is bench pressing and shirt benching. They are not the same thing.

Ever seen the distance Arnold pushed a bench press? That's a long way to press. His 440lbs bench max is way more impressive than a big fat guy pushing 600lbs less than two feet.
