Coming across a lot of "Form Nazis" on soshal media lately. These of DYEL'S spend 5 minutes explaining how to do a lat pull down with proper form ::)
What a bunch of horseshit. Everyone's body is built different biomechanically. Your strict form means jackshit for building strength or muscle.
Case in point - Dexter doing shoulders presses with 3 inch ROM and then swinging the dumbbells wildly on the laterals at 1:30 lol
Fuk your form bitch! >:(

Tension is tension.

Exactly, your muscle doesn't know whether your form is "proper" or not, all that matters is that tissue is broken down so he has to build it up again bigger and thicker.

STAY AWAY FROM THE "FITNESS INFLUENCERS"...............they know jackshit!
They influence me to want to put them on my dreaded STAB LIST !!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111

Train instinctively. However that may be.

As long as i get 60 % close to Robcguns triceps, i know i'm doing it right
-
As i get older and wear is showing its signs i avoid swinging, just controled motion.

Proper form is the term used by "experts" in books videos and other "exercise scientific" books etc. It is taught in every classroom or personal training certification courses. And it is DEAD WRONG for bodybuilding. They say/teach that crap to prevent getting sued. They tell their clients to do it and that way less chance of injury and also to keep them coming back. They make little to no progress but the "expert" trainer keeps telling them it takes time so keep paying me and we will keep doing it the "right" way. I have NEVER seen any top bodybuilder or really any decent bodybuilder do "proper" form. You need the shorter range of movement to apply stress on the biggest and strongest part of the muscle to cause growth.

So it's almost as useless as HIT or Heavy Duty.

while nothing is carved in stone i see people using way too much weight in say the bench press & using crap form. It does not bring any muscle growth as they are simply using auxiliary muscles into play & thus recieve a poor workout for the said muscle group.
Having said that bodybuilders like serge Nubret & Sergio Oliva used it to great effect working in a small range of motion on the Bench.
The point being use a weight you can handle for the training method.
so therefor i agree with your post but again nothing is carved in stone !

Training gets you muscular not eating. you can still get fat on clean food without training.

Diet is important but you can still build muscle on even a shitty diet within reason of course. Long term is another matter.

Who needs "form" when you're on 'roids.

Was on the same mgs of roids in both pics one is without training the other is with training guess which is which

This. I’d assume it may not matter as far as strength or muscle building goes, but it would be easier to sustain an injury just wildly flailing weights.

Dorian said if he listened to his instincts he would have pissed on the weights.

Mentzer said the same

Perfect form works when you are on steroids, doing nothing on steroids builds muscle, "don't go heavy with poor form, it will damage your joints". Wut

TRAIN DAILY LIKE A PSYCHO, AND LIVE ON DONUTS AND PIE AND GET BACK TO ME WITH UPDATED PICS.
Diet is imperative if you want to look good.......not so important if you want to impress the uninformed in WalMart.

If there was a like button both Matt and Bhank would use it for this post.
-
I replicate branch and Johnny Jackson’s form as the bbers to follow

Someone should patent, package and sell the WalMart diet and exercise plan.

That’s all it really is
genetics + drugs, that’s it
Training is lifting a weight and putting it down, really not all that rocket science which it’s made out to be
If you are going to grow you will grow
If you aren’t meant to have a big chest all the drugs and lifting won’t do any good, improvements to it, sure but if your genetics aren’t there, doesn’t matter
Same with big calves, peak biceps, etc

A recent "big thing" is emphasizing training a muscle in the lengthened position as research has shown a muscle hypertrophies mmost when stressed in the lengthened position. So now they do partials in the lengthened position. I can believe it, why not. However the question is to how big an impact it has in real life. As you say, many good bodybuilders avoid lengthened positions altogether.

Yeah, people overthink stuff.

"Beyond that, don’t get caught up with all the details spewed out of the mouths of every card-carrying-weekend-online-personal-training certificate holder trying to tell you that you HAVE to keep your elbows tucked to your sides, arms perpendicular to the floor, don’t go past ninety degrees, slightly bend at the knees, breathe in, now breathe out, don’t lock out, two seconds on the way down, four seconds on the way up, 10 more, 9, 8, good, 7, 6 more, you can do it … Somebody shoot me in my “$&@:/#” face so I don’t have to listen to that any more!"
