I don't consider PF to be prog rock. I just think they're a really great rock band.
King Crimson for me.

Barely even debatable:

Thin Lizzy in with the winner. I don't like prog generally but "Roundabout" is one of my favorite tunes

I am something of an ELP and King Crimson enthusiast. I like the Floyd too and of course Yes.
-
I don't deny Pink Floyd or Yes because I grew up listening, but I would pick Tool over both of them at this point in time.
-
Yes's musical greatness is hard to top. Gilmour however, amazing guitarist.
Floyd is awesome though. Brilliant band..

Possibly your worst opinion of all time :-X :D
I like tool but remember most of their songs sounding the same. What’s your fave album, Lateralus? Give me a recommendation and I’ll listen to it today

No but Genesis was pre-pop.

I do a lot of endurance stuff, and Tool translates well. Roundabout, Leave it, Dark Side of the Moon, aren't going to cut it, and I've heard them all a million times.
I have songs like Jambi, 46 and 2, Ticks and Leeches, Lateralus, Aenima, Vicarious, Prison Sex, etc
Lateralus, if you have any interest, is based on the the Fibonacci sequence....this video shows how in depth they got. It's crazy.

This is their best song and one of the greatest rock songs ever, but yeah, their full body of work falls short to that of Yes and Pink Floyd.

Personally Floyd was never my favorite as I find their music plodding but you can’t deny they’re a great band.

Even Yes 2.0 produced one of the greatest albums of all time:

If that song fires them up, 99% of them can't bench their bodyweight.

Yes. Pink Floyd were absolutely amazing. Timeless. Listen to them now and you will appreciate how incredible their music was.

Kansas isn't prog rock funk.

Kansas isn't prog rock funk.
kansas, the state's most commercially successful rock group, was formed in Topeka in 1973. Kansas was one of the most skillful creators of what is known as "progressive rock;" melodic, often thematic songs and albums with high levels of musicianship and relatively (for rock) complex orchestration. I always thought prog rock meant progressive rock at which they were one of the founders.. ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? IF I'M wrong COLOR me STUPID.

No, I may be the stupid one here.
I always considered them just classic rock or arena rock, or even southern rock.
But after googling, now I'm seeing there's debate on the classification for Kansas. Either way, I was more wrong than right with my comment.
In summary: Depends on which iteration of Kansas you're talking about, the personnel involved, and the crowd they were playing for. Kansas, at its height, had six very very talented musicians - there wasn't a lot they couldn't pull off, especially live. Prog, Southern Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, etc. They sit in a unique space where they aren't quite British enough to be considered full fledged Prog by many, and not quite American enough in their earliest iterations to be true classic rock. Really, it's all just semantics anyway! Kansas has a pretty unique sound which evolved and changed over the many decades they've been active!

don't forget you're much younger than me ,perhaps you're thinking of later Kansas where they were going for a more commercial sound as compared to their roots.

Couldn’t find a good live version but this is a very underrated Yes song. Awesome Bass work by Squire:
