Crazy to think Duane Allman was only 24 when he died and most of the guys and girls in Skynyrd were only in their 20's when the plane crashed.

Absolutely - there's niches which came later, or earlier, but 70ies seemed to be a good time to be alive.
BUT freedom of speech had already began to falter... even back then.

It's hard to pinpoint the precise peak. I think for cars mid - late 60s through early 70's.

Music and general popular culture mid to late 70's

Bodybuilding late 70's through early 90's

Cinema and movie theater definitely 70's.

Style? I'd probably go with late 50's through mid 60s.

I gotta say whatever your preference,  there is no doubt that just about everything now is complete and utter shit.

Getting old doesn’t have to suck, but it’s a weird feeling to know the world is a completely different place than the one you grew up in.

70's muscle cars had low horsepower and slow as fuck! Some would argue that the 2010-2020's were the golden era of HP cars. Older cars look cool, but modern cars are way better overall.

Tech today is way better than the 70s. But yes, Western Nations peaked in the 50s-70s and have now been sufficiently flooded with mongrels to ensure their shithole status in the future. The West's future looks bleak. Would love to see a few thousand globalists and their offspring impaled Vlad style. They deserve it!

Hard to argue that technology today doesn’t shit all over that of the 70s but from a style standpoint those 70s muscle cars were hard to top.

It’s easy to romanticize the past, but people have always sucked. The 70s was also full of worthless pieces of shit.

If you use the technology for social media and just to dick around, yeah it has no value, but if used properly almost anyone can become an expert at anything as a result of having access to unlimited amounts of information at all times

It’s easy to take all of this for granted, but it’s still pretty new. I can remember not too long ago the first time I placed the stock trade online. I was on an Amtrak  heading to upstate NY. I remember thinking to myself “I can’t believe it. I just made a trade while riding a train.”

But what happens when you have to stand alone without access to a PC?

I watch people on Youtube with the most sophistaced power tools cutting accurate woodworking joints.
What happens when they dont have the tools, they cant saw a peice of wood straight by hand because they never had to learn

We have more access to better products than ever. We have more access to better health care than ever. We have more access to better food. We have more access to knowledge than ever. There are more options for entertainment and leisure. People are aging slower and living longer healthier more active lives.

The golden girls and the sex and the city cast are the same age. 45-year-olds look like 30-year-old from 3 decades ago.

Saw them 18-20 years ago in concert in a 20,000 seat venue and there were about 4,000 people there. I felt bad for them. I look at this clip and realize I missed them at their peak. The young guitarist and his sister, from this clip, died in that plane crash. Sucks.

Sonuvabitch, when I was a kid growing up in 70's and 80's... I thought that by the year 2024 we'd all be wearing jetpacks and flying to work, movies would be interactive holograms, space travel would be common and there'd be colonies on mars and the moon...

And in 2024 what I got are kids who think they're cats, a senile blithering idiot who can't read is president, we're on the verge of an all bug diet, Supreme court justices don't know what a woman is and there's discussions as to whether or not being on time is racist.

WTF happened? I mean I thought it would be similar to Logans Run (minus carousel) and we're on the verge of soylent green.

How does this make one better at anything?

We have more access to better health care than ever. We have more access to better food.

And life expectancy is stalling because of endless health problems.

We have more access to knowledge than ever.

And very few people who actually use it, libraries were always a thing, if you didn't know that was a great way of learning that just tells me you never set foot in one.

There are more options for entertainment and leisure.

And the quality has dropped off a cliff as the entire industry has been hijacked by woke garbage.

People are aging slower and living longer healthier more active lives.
Great people who never grow up and become adults, obesity and drug addiction gone rampant.

Easy to do for your uncle since he doesn’t work and lives off your mom , his sister, not a care in the world
