So many questions….

Why were they fighting? Was this something people paid to watch?

Also wheels trained for months for this only to tear the bicep during the match? Awful.

It tore from/at the shoulder, is that a better spot? Looking at the injury is it possible the muscle just tore in half?

Larry's been on a tough guy kick trying to prove himself after being called a cuck earlier in the year. That guy Viitaly was a a major streamer / youtuber known for pranks and pred catches. I think he was goofing on Larry, and was the most pysically fit, so he got the fight.

The other guy, Adin Ross puts on fights between d-list, usually internet celebs. They're free, with Ross making money from ad sales, tts, and video views. Wheels got paid something, the whole fight had a reported $500,000 purse tied to it.

It's a standard bicep tear with Larry joking that both arms will match now -

I tore my bicep 20 years ago (approx?) during boxing. My arm got snapped backwards and my bicep ripped off the elbow. My bicep swelled up. My first thought was that I tore it. So I picked up 1lb dumbbells. Then I tried 3lbs and I couldn’t lift the weight. My left shoulder and arm have never been the same. I’ve had to really work on getting my left side balanced out to the right.

It’s going to take him 1 year minimum just to be able to workout somewhat normally. This may be the end of him.

Does he only use the right to arm wrestle? I'm not sure it's over, the other was already torn the same way. Commentators were like that's gotta hurt so bad! None of my tears hurt at all, I tore my bicep like 4-5 months ago too. Well, my ham hurt like a SOB when I put a tight knee wrap on it immediately. Had read that that's the thing to do to prevent excessive blood pooling; it would cut recovery time by months and I did come back quickly :D

I'm a 'strength guy' so I have some respect for him despite him being so depraved. People who have attempted to powerlift in any capacity know how insane his numbers have been. A real monster. He should've chased more ATWRs, at least that's what I would've done :D

It depends, not necessarily. I've told the story before but I have a buddy who tore his bicep completely, had surgery, and claims he was back 100% in 6 WEEKS. Sounds impossible to me too, but even if the timeline isn't completely truthful he was back QUICK, competed in BB too and you couldn't even tell :D

Because guys like him don't have years of tendon and ligament strengthened through specific training for those exact movements. Plus age!

Picking up and putting down weights makes you good at picking up and putting down weights. When you go hey I'll do a sprint, never having trained for it, you have all that weight and muscle force relying on untrained tendons to keep everything stitched together.

I'm starting backup cycling training. It's going to take me at least 3 months to slowly bring up volume where I can handle a meagre 8hrs/wk easy pace. That's before I even start any sprint training!

Tendons take roughly 7x longer to adapt vs muscles. This is why people snap shit. It takes years to be able to handle loads without injury.

I don’t see how 6 weeks is possible. When I tore my bicep, the Dr. wouldn’t allow me to use my surgically repaired arm for close to a year. Once the 1 year passed, I was able to use it again in the gym.Maybe your friend’s tear wasn’t a full tear? Or maybe his tendons were super strong? Mine was ripped off the bone.

What would happen if you tried to curl something?

I partially tore my delt (I know, WTF?) doing heavy overhead presses six weeks ago.  It hurt like a son of a bitch, and I couldn't raise my arm without pain for a couple of weeks.  Still fucking hurts a bit.

No I didn’t. I did the rehab exercises, but as a result of not rehabbing it properly, my left shoulder and wrist is tighter and less stable than my right. My whole left side has always caused me issues.
In the gym,  I worked out but didn’t directly use my injured arm. So for pull-ups, I used ab straps and did the pull-ups without pulling with my arms. For bicep curls, I was trying out curling with 1 arm but trying to feel the curl and tension on my injured side without curling it. I never stopped working out, but was very careful and listened to the doctor’s orders carefully. Some moves I’ll never touch ever would be deadlifts with mixed grip, heavy underhand barbell rows, and especially preacher curls.

It was a full tear. He said doc used some less common technique, put big bolt through the tendon. Something to that effect. Before and after. Several years between pics but he had a good result.

I have the bolt as well. He was very lucky and sounds like he was healthy and in good shape to recover. It’s a horrible injury. Mixed grip deads and preacher curls terrify me. The day it happened I remember being tired and dehydrated.

My arm is all shriveled up now. No motivation to lift because I'm on the waiting list for surgery. Only the distal, outer part came off totally and in these cases you can recover most of your strength. I can lift with it but I feel a difference. I mostly want the surgery for aesthetic purposes as they are already very short and without surgery I will have an arm almost as bad as Dorians. My other arm was already torn the same way and I had successful surgery 8) But now it's questionable if they can attach it as so much time has passed and the muscle retracts :'(

If a muscle is torn in such a way you don't need or cant have surgery it's best to start working it immediately. I'm not an orthopedist obviously but I think that's the way to go so it heals the 'best way' :D

Mixed deads always scared me and I had maxed on deads almost every week for 34 years straight, fucking rack lockouts with 900 and everything LOL, and then I tear it warming up with some ridiculously light weight. A couple of minutes before I had yelled at my lifting partner to keep his supinated arm straight so as not to tear it :D

I used to do ridiculous stuff like this, almost scared to look myself, 815, 16 years ago :D

That’s damn impressive. Looked smooth and easy for you. I think if someone has genetically strong biceps and tendons, then they can get away with never having an issue with mixed grip. But I also think if something is just a tiny bit off or moves in the wrong way, even an inch, a tear can occur. I just think it’s such an unnecessary risk to do underhand rows, mixed grip, or preachers. The biceps are such a small muscle that can get tight, and if your elbows don’t have the ability to fully lock out, and you have repeated stress over and over for years, I think you’re really playing with fire. I cannot watch videos of people tearing their biceps.

After 6 weeks in a sling, and 20 weeks of physical therapy I was able to train again. It took about a year to fully recover.

Sure, you can look at it that way. But what do you think of men fighting for sport (ego)? On the one hand it's retarded to risk any hits to the head especially, but on the other there have been many 'philosophical' arguments made in favor of it as well. Men fight. I don't fight so I'm not very masculine, just saying. And certain risk taking is masculine biologically.

Exactly. Any slight bend in the arm is dangerous and even in my decades old clips I see myself looking at my right bicep after sets, just to see if it's still attached. There's bound to be some micro tearing or whatever after many decades of lifting and one day it gives. Though on the other hand perhaps the tendons slowly get thicker as well? If and when I get my surgery I'll try to remember to ask the surgeon if my bicep tendon was maybe a bit thicker than usual.

Just watched it. Vitally fought like a girl, although no as pathetically as I thought. Both got terrible footwork.

Larry would have won it. But he punched Vitally when down (maybe a rookie error). And he got karma for it was that punch that ripped his bicep.

Remember the movements he does is slow muscle contractions under weight. Fast explosive moves with sudden impact are bound to cause him to tear tendons off the bone.

Gypsy has an actual fight record, before his "origin story" he was a trained fighter. Kickboxer I think? Not sure what this fight is, but I thought I read it was a kickboxing bout? Either way I don't expect top level striking here, if Azulay even shows up. I would put my money on Gypsy though.

Did some intramural boxing in college. It's all about speed- power is secondary. The biggest guys were the slowest.

I gave it up when I literally couldn't see some of those punches coming- some guys are ridiculously quick.

Look at this kid- you'd never expect him to be so powerful:

well. Truth with modification. You need size/strength in the right specific muscle it takes to deliver a hard punch. Abundant muscles all over mostly just requires oxygen.

But never the less size has meaning otherwise there wouldn't be weightclasses and this middlewieght would get absolutely destroyed first round with the top heavyweigths

Wrestling training is brutal I did it as a teenager but went with other sports later. The mental toughness it builds and ability on the floor is why so many wrestlers succeeds in MMA and UFC. Even though BJJ is obviously better for taking someone out in a MMA match with the chokes and single joint isolation etc which wrestling obviously doesn't allow/teach.

I have seen a few of Mikey Musamechis fights lately, I hope he doesnt try MMA, he will get royally fucked up.
His entire technique is lying on his back in front of his opponent and the ref makes his opponent come and engage.
He tries that in MMA he will get kicked around the ring or the ref will stand him up

I forget why I quit wrestling pretty early when I tried it, but even for a short time it was beneficial to try as a HS. I didn’t try until I was Junior or Senior in HS.

I only did one meet against another school and they had me wrestle against a freshman or sophomore and I lost. I held my own though and didn’t embarrass myself at all.

My friend, who later died in a car accident, was the star and he was the one that showed me the best lessons.. not the coach.

The coaches taught the basics of offense and defense, but my friend taught me hand control and how balance works.

My one boxing match I did have I did actually win when then the guy tapped after a couple shots to the face. Although I am no fighter, with boxing I knew the basics better. The other guy didn't understand the concept of a jab and walked into enough where he knew he was going to get hurt in time.

Maybe he can ask his friend who loaned him the money to buy his house and who he never paid back. Or he could try his OnlyFans account again.

I completely forgot he is a former onlyfaner, wouldn't be surprised if he makes a comeback" there .

I sense that Larry is a potentially dangerous guy so it could all end pretty badly, death or prison.

Seems like he doesn't have a care in the world wrt money, no attempt to protect anything for example with the marriage. Strange that this streaming thing pays so much he could buy luxury car gifts to her and so on. When it was over his buddy said he had to go make up with her but he said it was impossible and "I have to take care of her still." Perhaps something happened where he had to pay her off. Just speculation.

Imagine being a woman alone with him when he rages and has a meltdown. Full of tren and perhaps crack (he said tren is worse than crack) or who knows what else. There's been a few women accusing him of abuse, could be baloney but he doesn't appear stable. I'm calling it, something tragic, violent or really crazy will happen to him.

How the f do you tear a bicep throwing a punch ???

These guys joints must be drier than cadaver tendons
It's easy to tear a bicep with fast movement Raytardo. I know someone who tore his biceps playing volleyball casually with the family.

Hypertrophied tight muscles and tendons not up to the job.
It's also connected to food as "modern men" eat terrible diets.

Bodybuilders, powerlifters, strongmen, olympic weightlifters are all just picking up a shopping bag away from tearing their muscles right off the bone. I've known many cases in real life. Not sure why that is, a bro scientist told me that it's due to extremely unbalanced strength development relevant to the movement range of your joints. Not sure exactly but could be true.

I’ve had to really work on getting my left side balanced out to the right.
who were you fighting and why did you choose gloves instead of pillows ?

Did some intramural boxing in college. It's all about speed- power is secondary. The biggest guys were the slowest.

I gave it up when I literally couldn't see some of those punches coming- some guys are ridiculously quick.

Look at this kid- you'd never expect him to be so powerful:

did you try removing the blindfolds and turning on the lights in the bedroom?

Any sport where people get intentionally hit in the head should be banned. I think judo is a better option although it's also dangerous in other ways.
you can give judo a try in a sports fashion without the scissor leg choke and the unconsciousness

IP man is the greatest action hero character, a great warrior and a great person, loved and respected by his community and family, humble and honest and eventually becomes rich. In the face of adversity he just sits in a chair and lights up a cigarette.

actually he seems quite dosile, chill and non-agressive personality. The type that doesn't have one bit of chip on his shoulder... but I guess everyone has a trigger. And you know how women can nag and push buttons...

when you bully the non- confrontational guy for too long eventually he will explode. but yeah you probably don't want this roided out monster strength individual explode on you in a small room  :D

I think Larry's a happy go lucky guy with an inferiority complex. It's what allows him to enjoy cucking, but also gives him a rage. I do think Larry could hurt someone, probably a woman, in private. He strikes me as an OJ type.
