What's wrong with these dumb janitors at the gym these days. I was doing heavy squats on the smith machine today when all of a sudden this idiot cleaner shoves his vacuum right under me!!! As if he doesnt know lifting requires alot of concentration. I was going to go to the front desk and chew them out but I didnt want to lose the machine. What I should have done was let the bar go and watch it slam unto the pricks shoulders, breaking and shattering his god forsaken body.
Even at 24hr fitness in Hollywood, Ca. the dumb janitors soap up the mirrors and wash them while your using them. Now I'm no rocket scientist, but wouldnt it make sense to clean and vaccuum areas that are not in use???
Next time this happen I get RUDE AND VIOLENT--gym janitors BEWARE!!!! I'm dead serious too!

Yeah it takes a lot of concentration to balance the bar on a smith machine.You are very lucky it didn't get away from you and accidentally latch back into the safety hooks.

Negative, only an idiot lifts to impress others. For your info, the Smith is just one in a rotation of three squating movements I do. Let me break it down for your childish @ss. One Monday I do Barbell squats, the next Monday I do Hack squats, and the other Monday I do smith squats. See how that works?? It's called variations, or diversification.
Oh, yeah the last time someone laughed at me in the gym was my training partner. I farted on purpose in order to get some space in a crowded gym.
When you get first place trophies in the LtHvy Wt. class, people tend not to laugh at anything you do in the gym. They ask for advice instead. Your not at that level yet, scrub!

now craig123, these cleaners obviously have no clue otherwise they wouldn't do it - so get the staff/gym to educate or enforce the rules on these cleaners.
in the cleaning business - from what i see where i am from, it means people are contracted to different places, so multiple sites in a given day - they come in get their job done and move on. Its not easy work, it ain't great work but someone has to do it, so before laying out threats online - tell them or the gym staff before flying off the deep end - no use warning/threatening them on here when they probably won't even see this.

craig was this actually at 24 hour or golds? happens at golds all the time, but even worse they're mopping the rubber floor around the squat racks, during peak hours. slippery feet aint good in the gym

It's very common in gyms to have the cleaning crew in the off hours...late nights and middays. You don't need to wash the mirrors multiple times a day. I'd talk to management and ask them why they would pack even more bodies in a gym during peak times (which I'm assuming your talking about)

You beware prick, those guys are making a living, when you do some half-assed smith sq's, you are lucky, he didn't stick the broom in your ass.
Next time, talk to manager, tell him to place a "10 inch thick candle to the floor", do your squats ass to the floor, you'll improve your squat by 50 pounds, janitor's middle finger also do the trick, now get lost....

Anyone of you ranting creeps who think they can get me be at this competition on May 28,29. I'll be in the LTHVY class. We'll sort it out on stage! If your too scared for the stage then I'm at Golds gym Venice Mon-Fri btwn 10a-1pm or 1pm-4pm. Lets put our loud talk to the test. I bet nobody take me up on this. P.S. I'm free of all illegal steroids too!!! 8)

Shit, at least you have janitors. At my Gold's gym, they haven't mopped the floors in about 3 months. Toilets are gross, as are the urinals. The staff at my gym is the most unprofessional I've ever witnessed. From the trainers, to the sales people.
Nobody greets you when you come in, nobody acknowledges you when you leave. Just last Tuesday night, I go in there to train. I do my workout, I then get ready to leave. On my way out, there is the check-in guy, sitting comfortably on one of the couches, while one of the personal trainers straddles and makes out with him. And this is during their WORK hours. On the clock.
Nobody cleans. Nobody knows anything. Nobody picks up. Hell, the staff themselves don't wipe the cardio equipment after use. Nor do they wipe the machines. They throw the weights, and don't put them away. You ask the same question to three different people, you get three different answers.
To top it off, the gym that was supposed to be built in my area a year ago, is still not done. So I have to go 30 miles out of my way to train, usually during traffic hours. I shit you not. To say that I am disappointed with Gold's is an understatement.

Thanks for the shout out. It was a tough diet though. I was actually cheating every other day with a small bag of chips here, snickers there, even a coke. The bastards at my job made it hard for me with there Tommy's chili burgers and fries. Not to mention the bbq joint I had to pass by on Slauson back and forth to the gym. I was in a really bad mood, I basically did the show and left. I didnt care about the photo ops or nothin, I was over it all.
