It's legit. I got it from Wayne and it will be up in the magazines soon.
Maybe now that they are selling tickets via Ticketmaster (and you still can't get tickets to IFBB shows that are much sooner), Pro BBing Radio might get off their cans and invite Wayne on the show!

It was brought to my attention that putting that poster up now might be taking as a shot at the NY Pro, which it's not. Success for BOTH the IFBB and the PDI is in the best interest of all.

In any case lets rephrase your comments:
I've lied about selling my store for 3 years every April Fools day, Grundy punked out of the fight, and I never even stated that I worked for the Cardinals and I'll pay you 200 big ones if you can find the post where I specifically said I was working for the Cardinals. I did however work for the Falcons in 2004 doing security work for a contract firm.
Regardless of what anyone said, I did what I had to do to "deliver the message" Deal with it bro because that's the way it is and understand that bodybuilding politics is just as dirty as regular politics. I
I won't be around much since I'm still training for the NPC Mountaineer but I'll check back in. For those who still support the PDI, just remember that the person who created it is responsible for all the crap that's gone on in the IFBB for over 20 years. Just ask of all folks, Lee Priest.

Please read the post again more closely and understand that just like most businesses, they hire independent contractors for temp stuff such as the Falcons Training Camp which I worked at in 2004 when it was being held at Furman University in Greenville. It would be worth mentioning that we were basically used for Cannon Fodder for the Team's General Security. In other words, most of the people yelled and cursed at us since we were pretty visible with a blue uniform and big shiny badge. But I still had fun and got to meet up with a lot of the players.

Pretty much that except on a more higher end level. Works out for me because I don't have any set hours or anything and whenever I want to work I just give a call and I get my assignment. I just worked last night from 6pm to 6am at a packaging facility. Not much work, just drive around the building and check the area. Payment for work depends solely on the area I'm working at and what needs to be done. That gig didn't pay much but I practically didn't do anything. Its definitely not the case all the time and varies in work from operating a computer security system to crowd control at an city event or something.
I mainly do these gigs to help pay for expenses for contest preparation. It cost me around 3,000 in all to get ready but a few gigs and its taken care of. If there is money left, I put it back into my business. Its not glamourous but I'm not doing anything undignified and its honest work. Sergio Olivia worked at night as a butcher at night, Frank Zane was a teacher, and Arnold, Franco, & Draper all together had a bricklaying business. You can be a bodybuilder but you won't be anyone if you can't pay the expenses

Another dumb post. Do you know who is designing the posters. That was not a poster number one and it wasn't even a completed one. It's an ad for the mags. Do you know who is doing the graphic design for the PDI. DO you know who he is. Cause if you did you wouldn't say one thing about his talents or credintials. Just sit back and figure out how you will make money at your show next year if it happens.
And you guys are making fun of this, when the Colorado Pro poster was one of the funniest and misleading posters ever made. And have you seen what the IFBB puts together for there posters and their website. Everyone who is making fun of what the PDI has are the same ones who think what the IFBB has is great. SO that shoudl tell you right there what kind of taste you have.

As far as shows are concerned, the only show I'm concentrating on is the NPC Mountaineer I'm doing. The diet is brutal, the training is brutal, I've been eating so much steamed fish that I'm about to grow some fucking gills so I'm not in a great mood. But I'm seeing the results coming in and that's all the motivation I need. I need to get the pictures out like Arvilla did to show you folks what its all about

He was told not to put it out. And it looks just as good if not better than the multi-changing Colorado Pro posters. And for the website, it is pretty evident that they do not want to have a website as unprofessional, incomplete, shitty looking and downright embarassing as the IFBB's site so instead of having someone like you to put a site together for $500 and 2 days, Wayne has decided to do it right and hire a professional group. There has been many changes to design and look and until Wayne is ready and everyone invovled is happy then it won't be up. The Colorado Pro site was the closest thing you can get to using an unprofessional looking template as you can and the PDI is staying away from that look or feel. Don't worry, you can still make some money from the IFBB for at least another year. But, after that you better have a backup.
And Vince why do contnue to post (I mean embarrass yourself) on here. Do you realize no takes you seriously or cares what you say. You are like the red-headed step child of a homeless family, only you are darker.

the pdi's a great idea and all, but seriously. delusions of grandeur anyone? four athletes on the poster, one of whom will be retiring soon and two who couldn't get an ifbb card. as it stands there is nothing to warrant the buzz the pdi is trying to make for itself, and they're shooting themselves in the foot because of it.
if this show happens and it isn't the most awesome noc ever omg, guess what? most are not going to see it as "well they just started, give them time". because the poster is acting like this show will unseat the olympia it's going to look like they failed to live up to their own hype.

Of course, the Toronto MIGHT have sucked. But we'll never know, as an IFBB show was cancelled. Also, we haven't heard anything about that IFBB Euro Grand Prix... will that be cancelled too?
Fact is, no federation is perfect. but competition is good for the bodybuilders, as they have more options and more chances to earn money.

The funniest part of it all is you, rhino and 240 need the PDI. You need it because you failed as an NPC promoter and won't be promoting another show, your only hope in promoting again is the PDI. Rhino needs it because without it, no one would know who the hell he is. 240 needs it because no one else wants him on their radio show.
What will your excuses be after your first PDI show fails Keith? Now that you're swinging from Wayne's nuts you're miraculously going to becoming a premier promoter? ::)

you're right on all points. competition is necessary and only leads to progress. problem being the pdi is treating itself like it's the second coming of christ. of course that might just be the forum folk, i don't read the magazines. the wbf failed despite having vince mcmahon's budget and a lot of talent. granted that was partly because of incredibly stupid "story" ideas.
the pdi can and should promote itself all it wants. but they need to realize that they have little to no money and hardly enough talent to warrant one show let alone a schedule. they're going to oversaturate the public who will then be disappointed with the results. i want the pdi to succeed, but i see this overhyping as a detriment more than a benefit.
use richard jones as an allegory. great bodybuilder. looks awesome. the magazine hype killed his career. if he'd just been allowed to exist and to compete all on his own he'd have fared better in the long run. but because he wasn't the most incredible athlete in history at the noc, despite getting third it was all downhill.

Actually, I was invited on the PBBW radio show. I declined. Didn't want to be a muted punching bag for a man who called me a racist on incorrect evidence as he ranted about how the "peanut gallery" doesn't matter, but he loves to talk about it. Lift, you can call me for verification, as I'm not going to put the info out on the air. I respect Dan Solomon a lot. Decent guy! I have the email for proof, but I'm very good about discretion.
Personally, I don't like radio/tv media. I turned down several interview requests during the Titus fiasco before taking MSNBC's offer after they agreed not to use the S-word and after the reporter re-stated to me the point of the interview would be postitive and about craig.
The www.PDIradio.com is a fun site, as I have some audio engineering experience and love making music. But it is definitely not about my wanting to be on the radio- I would like to never be on the air at all, honestly. There are enough colorful personalities out there to do that.

PDI is actually embracing all the European fans - 4 pro shows planned in Europe this fall. Lots of aesthetic euro guys. I think the IFBB cancelled the 05 Euro tour, and I think it's supposed to be scaled down this year. FLEX mag even admitted that it's way smaller than it used to be- ROnnie can't draw a crowd over there. However, their amateur shows are packed. So I think while the PDI may not beat down the IFBB in the US, worldwide it has quite a lot of places to grow.

Shouldn't the question be what are you going to do when it is successful and you are still holding on to the IFBB balls with your mouth. It's funny how a loser all of a sudden is a smartass after promting ONE show.
Intersting you say I failed when my show exceed your show in EVERY category except money spent and possibly money lost. I had more people at my expo, more people at my show, more booths, more competitors, just as much prize money, more events, more people who flew in for the show, and a whole lot more fun the pros who came to my show than the majority of the pros had at your show. I don't need anything. I have noting to worry about at all for the rest of my life. I do this for fun. Keep this in mind, I am supporting Wayne and the PDI because the IFBB sucks at what they do. am supporting a raising star while you are supporting a sinking ship. That should tell you right there how stupid you really are. Loyalty is one thing, but stupidity is another. You just so happen to be the latter.
You are (and everyone knows it) one of the biggest suck ups there are here. Your future is based on the IFBB and its members. You are a nerd who needs to do things for the BB's so you can feel like you fit in. Son, who do you think you are fooling. What do you have going for you.
You yourself sent me a PM telling me you wouldn't have supported that show if it wasn't for Jeff Taylor and the fact it ws in your backyard. You didn't even want to support Sean but had too. You are dependent on the IFBB and the fact is without it you will have nothing. As it is, no one knows or cares much about you, can you imagine when the IFBB goes down. You'll be in the alley sucking off one the security guys so you can come watch a PDI show.
And believe me no way in hell can a show lose as much as yours did in Denver. It shows you right there that you know NOTHING about promoting a show. You yourself proved it. You guys proved it to us all. It might have been fun for the few that went but when it comes down to it the show lost allot of money and even a web designer like you should realize a show won't last long when it loses like yours did for long. And I bet I don't bounce any checks, no matter how you try to sugar coat it. And maybe if you start saving your money you can afford to come here and see how it should be done. Intersting you say I failed when my show exceed your show in EVERY category except money spent and possibly money lost. I had more people at my expo, more people at my show, more booths, more competitors, just as much prize money, more events, more people who flew in for the show, and a whole lot more fun the pros who came to my show than the majority of the pros had at your show. I don't need anything. I have noting to worry about at all for the rest of my life. I do this for fun. Keep this in mind, I am supporting Wayne and the PDI because the IFBB, Weiders and Manion suck at what they do. And if there is just a hair widths chance of fucking the IFBB, Weiders and Manion I am in 100%. I am supporting a raising star while you are supporting a sinking ship. That should tell you right there how stupid you really are. Loyalty is one thing, but stupidity is another. You just so happen to be the latter.

it wouldn't be that hard to make an appearance and make bob look like an idiot if you actually wanted to. you could spent a night preparing, having quotes pulled up from the message boards and just start reading them and asking him why he said what he did. if he was really going to do what you said, you would end up looking good because he would be obviously trying to silence you. a host refusing to let a guest talk always ends up looking bad. to use the o'reilly example it's why his ratings have been dwindling for the past six months.

No show is perfect, they all have their agendas, OReilly included.
BUT- like most talk shows- the host lets the viewer have time to present their argument. Then he disputes it (or has another guest do it). Then the guest responds.
If you've ever witnessed Bob have a debate on these boards, you'll see he ignores valid points, deletes points that make him look bad, makes baseless accusations which he cannot back up, and will not agree when he makes any mistakes. These are not the traits you want in the man running the interview. On the phone, based upon his behavior here, he'd make the debate a platform for his stump speech and glib one-liners bout how lousy wayne was, ask me why I "hate bodybuilding", then accuse me of welfare fraud then hang up.
Bob is good at some things, but being a fair and intelligent debater is NOT one of these things.

I don't think Bob has EVER allowed voices of dissension on that show. If you're on the show, you don't argue. You have nice discussions. A little debate ensued with Romano, sure. But nothing major.

Shawn Ray didn't have that problem, since he always took stand against several high positioned IFBB members since day one.
So it's not a do or die.

Nah, I want the PDI to work because I want the IFBB to have competition, then I'd like another division, maybe some blend of BBing and strength, or more womans shows, or UFC, or something, to arise. Then another. These bodies might have to WORK TOGETHER at shows. Who knows. But it sure would beat having the IFBB be the only show in town.
And Bob has done plenty to alienate his fanbase. How many people witnessed him making racist accusations, call the fans names, insult Wayne, and countless other things here at getbig? Hundreds at least. They might post it elsewhere, mention it to someone in the gym or at a show, it grows. Bob doesn't seem to be concerned- he's really a politician. As long as he can snowball 51% of the audience, he's happy. Alienating the other 49% of the people doesn't matter.

Yes. I want getbig members to write the Qs up. Once it's ready, I'll post topics/guests, and let GB fire all the questions it wants, and the guys will be asked those Qs. Period. I don't want it to turn into political stump speeches like the other guys. The IFBB did not see any threat or problem with Titus going on. All along that was a sham and bullshit. But the PDI is real and is a REAL big threat to the IFBB. It shows all over. So far this year alone one IFBB show has been cancelled, and one show lost a ton of money and has some serious accounting issues and many competitors pulled out. Sponsor money is dwindling for IFBB shows. Guess where allot of it will be going. So, even though the IFBB may be around for awhile it will not be the dominent force in BB within the next 5 years at most. AMI is absolutely going to dump the Olympia. And if no one or no company steps up to take it over it will be gone. Sorry but that is corporate America in action. They are not going to keep dumping money into a loser. I do know the numbers of the Olympia and the cost is outrageous to put on that show. And anybody who wants it will have to take into account the cost of advertising for it in the major mags. It is huge. No matter what AMI paid the $3+ million for it at $400,000 a year and they maybe stuck with it till all paid for. DOn't know that one. But if there are keeping it then it will be downsized condiderably. The Orleans may look like the Mandalay Bay after the next move.

Concerning the Olympia...even if AMI were to bail out in the future...the Olympia would simply go back under the control of the Weiders/ IFBB...I personally believe the IFBB should be promoting their own shows anyway.

Do you feel that Wayne's federation has at least a *little* more credibility than Titus' paper federation? Wayne is selling tickets. If he closes shop tomorrow, it's the news of the year in BBing. Wouldn't it be good radio to let him come on and detail his plans, so that the fans and critics can actually ask him the tough questions and punch holes in his plans?
It jsut seems weird that many are criticizing him, and they don't know his plans. And oddly enough, they don't want to ask.

I'll admit that there does appear to be some new developments. We have a possible show, and tickets being sold. but many a slip between cup and lip. Rumor has it that the Euro shows are being postponed. Or were never going to happen, depending on your outlook.

The money and shows will go where the sponsors go. And the sponsors will go with the best deals that either Manion or Wayne will give them. And fans go to whatever shows don't suck.
You, me, all of us that work in support just go where the work is. If the IFBB shut down 90% of their shows, what would you do? Starve? You're going to follow the guys to the PDI. And if the IFBB AND PDI close, we'll be working NAABA, WBF, or whatever work there is.

Oh I'm sure you had a good time in Denver. From what I here you have a good time anywhere there are muscular guys in posing trunks. Whatever floats your boat. It's really funny to watch everyone tear themselves apart over a nothing federation, and a nothing bodybuilder like me. You guys are so scared of me that you have to resort to accusations of me lying about my qualifications. You should read how pathetic your posts really are. It's kind of funny, Do you really think I be so stupid as to lie about a show I won? And do you really think Wayne would not find out? I obviously have proven myself to him, and Wayne is the decision maker in this situation, so get over it.

So if jack showed up at your hotel room as you're watching TV at night, and asked you to take a few pics in the field next to the Motel 6 for his portfolio, you wouldn't do that? If you had a day off in the USA, and a PDI guy asked you to shoot, you wouldn't because you'd feel bad working on your OWN time?

If a client pays for my flights, accomodation, and time, then I do not shoot anything else.
I do not shoot on my days off.
If any IFBB, PDI, NABBA or whatever athlete wants photos for their personal use - not for publication - and they are ever in the UK then if I'm available I'd be happy to oblige. And I don't even charge!

Yes, I do. And my contracts give me the flexibility to work on any project at any time, as long as I complete the terms of the contract on time. Why would you lock yourself down like this? If the skills and production levels you bring to FLEX is good enough to warrant any negotiating power, you should write that in. The entire day you spend in the hotel room watching tv and surfing getbig while waiting for your flight- you could schedule a few independent shoots and save yourself the next plane trip. I'm not flaming man- I'm just saying it's strange that you don't WANT to give yourself more opportunities to earn. You are an independent contractor- so FLEX doesn't have absolute power to determine you waste your time while waiting to head back. Just my 2 cents... but you gotta grab the $ while it's there, as long as the product you give FLEX does not suffer.

In commercial photography your day rate also determines the maximum amount of days you can work. If you charge $100 a day you could easily work 7 days a week. At $5K you'd average 2 days a week. At $50K you'd max out a 2 a month.
If you really want to earn then become a "paparazzi"

As far as barbecued Rhino, you just never know what could have happened... You might have found yourself invited over to their house one evening for a friendly barbecue (with lots of lighter fluid) and drinks. They could have gotten you pretty drunk, then spiked your last drink when you went to the bathroom. Then once you were out cold, they could have loaded you into the jag, drove you out into the desert, then broke out the extra lighter fluid...
