I never eat that anymore, I only eat TILAPIA.
Try cooking up the tilapia in a pan with pam...and when you have about 3 more min of cooking...throw in fresh frozen spinach, makes a great tasty precontest meal....
-
They don't sell orange roughy at any grocery stores in my area.
-
I've given up on fish because of the mercury and the super trawler factory ships.
but I do take 12 fish oil capsules (molecularly distilled) every day.

Nope your still making it hard ;D cut it with scissors, after you thawed the steak or chicken then just start cutting it. I do a few long length cuts then start cutting the lengths into squares, throw them in a bowl dash cinnamon and spray with pam then add mrs.dash.
Takes about 5-7 min cooktime on stovetop

Salamon is quality food :) Tastes great!
I can eat tons of smoked Salamon ,need to watch the salt intake though.
Funny thing is whenever I go to buy a few things in the store I always end up with a huge bill and food for 2-3 days tops.Protein costs alot...no matter in what form it comes :(
-
I love it when people ask pro's questions that they could just as easily ask anybody here.

Yo Heracles, how do you cook your Tilapia? I've been thinking of picking up some, but other than frying it, I don't know how to cook it.........
-
90 percent of the time tilapia is farm raised shit from Thailand or Indo. If you want a good, healthy non farm raised fish, get red snpper, ling cod or petrale sole. All three are readily available year round (with the exception of ling cod) And they are very lowfat and they taste good poached, grilled baked or whatever.

wrap whatever fish you want in foil. Make it loose so there is room to steam. Spray some Pam Olive Oil flavor. Squeeze in a little lemon and add pine nuts and minced garlic. Store in fridge. when you want to eat just pt in oven for about 20 minutes at 350 and it comes out AWESOME. I used to cooked my Orange Roughy like this and Mahi Mahi.

I put my Orange Roughy on the Foreman - with dill and seasoned salt. Not bad at all.
It usually goes on sale for like $8.00/pound here. That's when I buy it - I can't write off groceries like Cutler can (is that even legal?)

This seems to me a very bad way to cook beef. first by freezing the piece of meat it will lose protein depending on how long its frozen, then by cutting into chunks and cooking (from frozen again i assume?) you will have to cook the meat all the way throught to the well done stage. doing this you will again lose a lot of protein as the longer you cook something the more the protein will break down. If you are eating pieces of beef best to keep them as a whole cut.
Onlyme has the best option when it comes to fish, locks in the protein and is a tasty meal, the rest of you cant cook...sorry^^
-
sure it is
How? Do all pro sports players get to write off their food? How is BBing different?

Show me some proof that freezing meat "loses the protein". Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life.
-
when u freeze a piece of meat it isnt in a complete state of inactivity. through time it will still decompose, break down and go off. otherwise u could keep meat in a freezer forever but these things all have use by dates on them. simple really.
-

ever get the large bag of frozen chicken breasts @ wegmans? I usually get the fresh chicken but Im going to try the frozen stuff. I like salmon better than poulrty though. Wegmans has ground buffalo for 4.99 a pound in the beef case. I want to try that too.

The salmon alone will keep you from shrinking down to that dudes level.
BEWARE...once in a while the is a bag with only 5 servings (its supposed to be 6)

Watch out for the frozen stuff. It can have some more sodium and also contain rib meat (but not always).
The thing I hate about the frozen packs is that they thaw a little on the way home, then re-freeze into a huge 5 pound chicken clump. Need a chisel to get a breast then.

No, the meat won't decompose because the temperature is too low for bacteria, fungi, and/or microorganisms to replicate. Protein breaks down due to chemical reaction, yet once again, the temperature is too low to facilitate the reaction, even if it is spontaneous. The only issue is storing the meat properly. Freezer-burn is a concern, but as long as you cook the meat and vacuum pack it there shouldn't be an issue.
-
so are you talking about cooking the meat then freezing it? which if the meat has already been bought frozen the defrosted and cooked again is not safe to do, and if you did you would of course have to cook it to well done (which again wil lose you a ot of protein) to be sure to be rid of all the bacteria because freezing temprature does not kill as i think you will know, it only puts it into a sleep like state.
If meat would not eventually break down through time why is there a certain timescale in which to use them as a frozen product?

It will be like the Exxon Valdez oil spill. I had the worst case of the runs after eating two days of Orange Roughy

Yeah he said though Tilapia is good. lol.. Tilapia= poor bodybuilder fish. haahah ...for me..!
-
for the 99% of bodybuilders, salmon is superior to orange roughy
-

As far as taste goes, Orange Roughy is pretty damn good. The fish grows slowly and is pretty old before it is big enough to be harvested. For some reason or another, that means the taste is rarely "fishy".
Salmon is good too though - I try to mix it up when I can...
-
the only fish i eat is shrimp with my pasta.
