side note many years ago early one sat morning, i was roused by a timid knock at my apartment door and opened it slightly to find this hot girl, she wanted to know if she could talk to me about god and normally that results in a no thank you have a nice day try someone else response but she was hot but as i opened the door there were two other dudes,dam fell for it but they were nice gave them about 10 min and then they left...bait and switch..

You're lucky they didn't try the foot in the door trick.
The don't mind people who ply their trade door to door.
My only objection is the proselytizing and arrogant self-righteous moralizing that often accompanies door-to-door ministries. If someone can acknowledge & accept the fact that I might not believe as they do, and am entitled my own beliefs without looking at me like I'm stricken with a terminal disease, or going to HELL, fine. If not, get away from my door.

no but they are not inforcing the law, there are whole towns controlled by "religious" figureheads tha promote fixed marriages and marrage to minors and multi wives...they just did a dateline or something on it recently, plus i have seen it first hand.

Speaking to Mormons...How on earth do you deal with more than one wife especially during monthly "visits"? There is truth to the theory that when women are together for extended periods (no pun intended) of time, their cycles will gradually sinc up based on the alpha female's timetable. That means more than one female at once under the same roof with you riding the emotional rollercoaster for a week. Do tell.

Very often the wives live in separate residences so they can claim welfare benefits, so maybe in those cases it isn't such an issue. Plus, Mormon husbands claim outright that it's a tough journey and many sacrifices are strewn in the path of righteousness... :P

This is not true with us, we all live in the same house and we're not on welfare... It is a hard journey, especially all fitting into one king size bed...

No but they generally ignore it because it's not hurting anyone and breaking up families would be a whole lot more evil. The only time it's hurting anyone is the rare freak like that one dood thrown in jail recently - but even with polygamists, he's a freak.

That would be an irrelevant comment to make to a Jehovah's witness as they don't believe in hell. It would be better to ask them when the end of this system of things is going to happen as there are less and less of the generation born in 1914. (they will know what Im going on about!)

I hadn't thought about it until now... but I hear the skiing's good in Utah. How many wives do you have so far? Can you afford another one (ps I like shoes)? Do your wives get days off or are they always on call? Since I'd be the last one in, no chance for seniority any time soon... would I get all the grunt housework tasks or would I be the spoiled one you lavish all your attention on. Just checking before I make a move... ;D
