Title: The Ultimate Supplement
Post by: bigmc on August 17, 2006, 02:53:21 AM
How to promote the ultimate supplement

1.Make it sound like a steroid

2. show a diagram of a steroid molecule next to yours stating their identicle save for the fifth molecule WTF!

3. State that in tests conducted in the 1970s it improved muscular composistion in bulgarian mice

4. Show a picture of someone sticking their gut out in bright lights apply tan and mood lighting tell them to suck their gut in and take another pic.

5. Include testimonials using words like "incredible pumps" and "savage muscle growth"

6. Get an ifbb pro to endorse using words like "unbelievable muscle growth" and "monster lifts"

7. state its 917 percent more effective than your last unbelievable supplement

8. Sell in large amounts to teenagers until everyone realises it doesn't work

9. Look for new product discovered in a jungle somewhere and repeat process.

How to promote the ultimate supplement

10) Show a picture of a guy in a white labcoat handing a bottle over to a bobybuilder, because the lab is where they actually manufacture the supplement.

Yeah, a syringe with NO NEEDLE a la VPX. To think that people would buy a box of syringes loaded with sugar water for $180 and "shoot" it in their mouth is UNFRICKINBELIEVABLE.

There's a sucker born every minute in America. To this day I still see people wearing or asking me if the 'Ab Energizer' works.

I had people ask me if my Pro Complex protein powder were steroids...I had people tell me they heard if takin too many vitamins will make their d-ck shrink. I've had people tell me that creatine made them CRAZY and made them want to RIP SOMEONES head off and lose their sex drives, made them break out..."I had to get off the stuff man..." Hahaha! TOOLS!

Thats why I hate companies who use The Jedi Mind trick on the newbs...actors in lab coats showing a pro BB a bottle and pretending to explain to them what it is and what it will do holding a clip board...before and after shots, blondes on the beach all over big negroes as if they are sex objects...supplements with names similar to real 'gear' although...

I do know guys who buy that stuff in the back of MD...'anadrall, dekka' in the vials you know...and put the 'liquid' in old real 'gear' bottles and pawn it off to newbs for lots of $$$...hahahahaha!

The ultimate supp...was Ultimate Orange the original formula. Now that TheBlockHead is wiser and smarter and more expierenced...my arsenal of supps never get past, a protein powder(ProComplex or Pride Respect) a MRP(Labrada or LeanMatrix) a CEE creatine(Prides Kryptonite) a mens formulated vitamin, vitamin c(1000mg) and...thats about it.  ECA is I'm trying to cut down. Maybe a joint support formula once in a while.

If you people were smart...you'd bank of the uninformed NEWBS...like MuscleTec does...like VPX does...like I do.

I hate supp companies that are only driven by numbers and bottom line sales.

It's either Beverly Nutrition for me or Pride Nutrition.

11) Publish a "body building" magazine in which nearly all the articles are written to promote said product.

12) Flood all other "body building" magazines with ads that look like articles (aka advertorials) supporting said product.

13) Write a "Diet book" which touts a revolutionary new diet plan revolviing around said product.

14) Write a "Supplement Review Guide" in which said product receives very high ratings, and all other products do not.

15) Promote a "Get in the best shape of your life" contest in which all the contestants are required to use your product and send in bofore/after pics.  Then Photoshop the hell out of those pics and use them to support said product.

the whole supplements industry is ripping us off. GNC should be SUED. Listen to this shit: I recently bought 2 supplements from a website, and I compare them to another website, both prices came about $35 less than GNC. Why in the hell should I pay fcuking $59.99 for a muscletech product when I can get the same shit for $32 from a website. and also why these containers are always HALF ASS full.

I'm weighing my options as to what's the best supplements to consider outthere. when it comes down to it, it's all Marketing bullshits. and yes, they know the average joe wont have any other choice but to buy their supps. Priest used to be with Prolab, and I have to admit I used to buy their stuff alot. I would say, they're a good brand, escially back in the days before the BAN OF ANDRO

I concur. I use Prolab stuff now like LeanMass matrix MRP's.

For me...its Beverly or Pride. Since my range of supps are so limited because for me its all about food and hard training...my supps dont go beyond protein, creatine vitamins...most exotic I go is efa's and joint support.

So even though a little more expensive due to quality and purity...its Beverly stuff or Pride stuff.

I wish I could start a supplement company and get a piece of the easy money outthere...lol. Every bodybuilder who retires start his own supplements line. No fcuking proof if their products are effective, and it's probably as wothless as a gnc brand

GNC has more quality control than any company in our industry, by far.

BigMC, yep, the supplement industry is in a pretty sad state of affairs and has been for a long time.

Snake oil sold to unsuspecting and naive kids.

Support companies that don't do that.

The ultimate B.S for me was in a musclemag, a reader asked one of the writers in a letter why bodybuilders injected insulin and how it works, the answer turned into a 2 page ad for cell-tech because it 'utilizes insulin by spiking it with it's patented 75g of dextrose per serving'    F*cking unbelievable, those assholes totally avoided the question and just milked cell tech, I think the musclemag was from june or july with Ahmed Haidar on the cover...

As an FYI, that probably wasn't a real question sent in by a reader.

Possible, although it did sound like a legit question, not one of those concocted ones that we usually see like 'why is nitro-tech 18,655% better then regular whey?'

My favorite article-ad was a pros cycle. It went something like this:

100 sustanons
500 dianabols
50 deca
2 bottles cell-tech
2 kits GH
100 Proviron

See how the Cell-Tech was cleverly baked in between the steroids. LOL
