I was skeptical to until I tried it after a hard workout. I have never felt more revitalized. Its hard not to fall asleep in a sauna which can be bad. Good stuff.

I don't go to many open saunas - where both men and women sit. Usually the women are Fat POS, and the good conversation you always get with the guys in a sauna is lost. So that kind of sucks.

Yes, Finns are well out of their mind. I watched a Finn stay in a 400 degree outdoor sauna for 8 min for the world record when I was a kid. I'll tell you what is seriously good though, is the traditional sauna and then ice bath or shower. You'll have to search long and hard for something more refreshing than that.

Yes it does exists but much less than you would think. Gays are unfortunately desperate to be loved. More and more heteros are hanging out a gay bars in NY, its become cool to some. It drives me crazy, especially loud drunk girls, but the new young gay generation is really accepting of it.
Good post bay, however I don't quite believe in anything called bi curious, or even bi for that matter. I think people that are bi are really sex addicts with power issues. I do think that gay guys monopolize sauna's in some mostly straight clubs and reallly should be thrown out. Unfortunatly some gym managers want the money so they let it go on. I've read that saunas should be used a few hours after your workout. Sauna immediately after is too taxing and not as good for restoration.
BTW, I'm a Finn also. Don't get to use the sauna too much over here in Sweden though.

Sweating in a sauna forces the muscles to work at about 100 calories an hour. If you can stay in a sauna for an hour....
Also good for keeping muscles warm after a hard workout...should help to keep their elasticity, reduce soreness and possible injuries.

Saunas is normal in Europe. Pretty much every gym I've been to have them. It's not more gay than sharing a lockerroom with other guys. Most people like the feeling of being in a sauna for a while. Give it a shot and see if you like it.

True. Saunas are common in gyms. Every 2 or 3 months I go to one of these luxury saunas, just to relax. It's really no big deal when men and women are naked and enjoy the benefits of a sauna.

along time ago I bought a lifetime membership to fitness USA, this is back in like 91 or so, I just got over a major illness and I was not planning on training very hard cause my health was just not good at the time. anyway first thing I thought was "why do they have seperate days for guys and girls to train?" I don't know if it's still like that but that used to be the policy. Anyway I go in on a saturday and go to the locker room. I have never in my life seen so many naked dudes walking around, to get to the locker room you had to walk by the whirl pool, and the olympic pool and there were tons of dudes nude swimming..sitting on benches, walking around the pools...I've never been more horrified in my life, I only stayed about 15 minutes cause I couldn't work out, I was to shaken up...I've neveer been back there....
