Overtraining is definitely overrated, but it surely exists, it just happens to be highly individual. Some people can get away with more training than others. Regarding Nubret's diet: didn't he only eat once a day? Sounds crazier than Johnny Fuller's diet (RIP).

none of what he was doing was necessary to build a world class physique. He would have developed just the same if he trained in some other manner, or not far off.
Nubret didn't believe in overtraining, same as TA. He would train for hours a day. Also he would stay lean year round because he didn't overeat relative to the energy he expended.
