hey everyone  on here
I was curious, do you need to do an overhead extnsions to max out my  tris ?????

i was thinking about changing my tris workout to:
close grip bench press
skullcrushers
pushdowns
weight or bodyweight  dips
 three set each.

Skull crushers are kinda over the head.......I think.  Workout looks good.  I would make sure you do a one arm isolation movement to really be able to concentrate and squeeze your heads.  Other than that, that will work.  I usually try and not do hte same movements for 2-3 weeks except for the core movements, which for me are skullcrushes or overhead dumbell extensions.

Extensions, meaning anything in which the elbows are up around ear level are essential for max. size because they hit the long head, the largest part of the triceps, better than anything else. Not skulls-with extensions, the weight has to be lowered down below the back of the head, getting a complete stretch.

Choose one, lowering the weight behind the head as far back as possible: lying, seated, decline or incline, free weights or pulley.

I have always thrown in some rope pulls (the rope with the knobs on the ends) You first pull down then when you get to the end of the range of motion you then pull out to the sides as wide as you
can. This (in theory) hits all three heads of the tricep. It had done wonders for mine. When doing any kind of tricep exercise make sure you keep your elbows in. If you can't do this during skullcrushers have someone hold them for you. This will decrease chance for elbow injury. I also agree with Pumpster. He's totally on the mark. Good luck with your program
