He is huge in the original photo, but not that huge. It's definitely photoshopped, someone find the original photo and post it to compare.

OK... I could be wrong (I think something is stinky about the cover pic). The very old B&W pic that  Lovethesport posted, is sort of close to the cover pic, but I'd still like to see just one other pic that shows Arnold looking like the cover shot.

I'm not sure it's "shopped", but something just don't seem on the up-and-up.

- wide angle lens camera
- black and white
- taken after 50 sets and a great pump
- close up

Makes a huge difference. 

That is true...there are tricks you can use when actually shooting images, lenses, lighting etc...but we definitely didn't photoshop the image.

Like I mentioned before, why would we alter the image of someone as well known as Arnold, in a photo that can easily be compared to other photos from the same time period...we ran the image because it was impressive...we didn't alter it so that it would be.

Chest to waist ratio is pretty insane...who do you guys think is comparable now? if anyone?

Good analogy!  Yeah that figures because the other day I heard that Arnold actually has a clone living on a remote Caribbean island and that he lives off care packages sent by Eric Weider containing nothing but liver tabs and dianabol so that Flex can travel there occasionally and get a few new shots of him.

That cover looked worked to me but I don't see the need to he had a spectacular chest anyway

Yeah, but my educated guess is that it was taken close up with a wide angle lens camera which makes a huge difference.

That picture was taken with a telephoto lens, the opposite of wide angle. If a wide angle lens was used his face, arms and shoulders would be distorted looking too, not only his chest, which was obviously photoshopped to make it look like he got a boob job.

If you want to see how a extreme wide angle lens distorts a person's face and body, watch any gonzo porno these days.
