i agree with this, Platz could probably max at around 725 and i would believe that he could probably get a good set of ten with 600, Hatfield's max in his prime without the suit and wraps was probably in the high 800's maybe 900.

I do believe Platz said his spine couldn't handle anything more than 600lbs. He was a pretty small guy structure wise.

monster 7 inch above parallel squats

7 inches above parallel you reckon? Check this out Heckler and I believe you'll retract your insult to the greatest.

Apparently this is shortly after his retirement.

I dont care what Dr Squat can do, I'd wanna look like Platz over Dr Squat anyday, regardless of what they lift.

that's not a suit, and apparently he did manage to do a couple of sets with more than 1000 pounds totally raw.

Platz ain't that strong, period. He has good anaerobic/glycogenic capacity, yes, but HE IS NOT A POWERLIFTER!!!

it's a suit. it's not one of the new suits, but it's a suit. there is no one on the planet thus far who has done a 1000 pound squat without a belt, suit, and wraps in a competition. even the IPF records are held by men who were geared up. single ply and old, but gear no less.

are you going to reference something or are you confusing your ass with a bibliography? you keep saying all of these things (he managed to SETS with more than 1000 totally raw?) but don't offer even the remotest backup.

hahahaha, exactly, even some of the first 1000 pound squatters like Dave Waddington, Lee Moran, Dave Pasanella, etc, all used a suit, they may not have been the space age shit you see guys using today but they were suits nonetheless.
