Does Anyone Understand 240??

I understand him, I think.

In all honestly 240's a great guy who's passionate about his country and hates what's happening globally. It's not like he's going around doing something that's not at all meaningful. Whether you want to admit it or not, a lot of Americans are unhappy with Bush because of the bullshit he's pulled. And you just can't say it's just a dem v republican thing anymore because even a lot conservatives are unhappy with Bush. 240's just another part of this crowd along with many others who have legitimate arguements against issues such as the Iraq war and global warming.

Okay, I can agree with most of that, CJ.  But if the roles were reversed here would you (or others) be upset?

There is nothing wrong with being passionate, but when you constantly insult people who disagree with you, that isn't passion.

I try not get upset about anything on this forum. A little debate here and there is pretty healthy, but attacks based on difference in opinion aren't. I think 240 has let people like BeachBum get under his skin to the point where it's making him upset. I cannot speak for others, but I've seen people get upset before. I remember when Mr. Intestone left for like a week because he was upset over some of the debates on Iraq and 9/11.

Sure, but I'm not attacking Rob, I haven't called him one name, insulted him, or even told him his opinions are irrelevant.  All I've done is used his own words to make a point about the way he operates in this board.  My intentions are certainly not to drive anyone from this board, I enjoy debating the whole spectrum of issues here with each one of you.

yep.  what you've achieved is, you've taken the political board from a place where we debate issues, to a place where we attack each otehr trying to embarass each other.

"challenges"?  this board is political topics, not "challenge each other!".  I am here to learn and if I'm going to have to spend 3 hours debating with strangers over months of collected quotes, well, it's weird and I don't want to waste time on it.  You and BB have fun with it.  Thanks for making the place suck.

But when I see a post like this, where you overdramatize, claiming that this board suck due to BRUCE, it makes it real hard to have sympathy for your cause.

With that being said, I think it was totally uncool to start a thread like this. So yes, you were done wrong in this case 240 or Bust, IMO.

But when I see a post like this, where you overdramatize, claiming that this board suck due to BRUCE, it makes it real hard to have sympathy for your cause.
