EDIT: Just realized what you meant, LOL! Jardine wouldn't have charged in if knew Houston wasn't that hurt. Disregard my original statement below then!If you watch the fight again, Houston charged in earlier on. That was the strategy apparently. He commented on that in a video interview if I recall correctly. They studied most of Jardine's fights, and figured they would challenge him in close quarters. With that knowledge, you can see he attempted that to begin with from what I can tell.
If that was his strategy, I would say it worked pretty well, leaving luck out of it!
