Me too.  I have the yellow sport Sony cassette walkman (same earphones from 1995 too!) loaded up with Firehouse "Don't Treat me Bad" or some Iron Maiden on the elliptical.  I can usually play the song about 4 times per workout if you include the rewinding time.

anyone worried about getting scratches on their ipod should try one of those covers from bestskinsever.com

you really cant even see it once its on. much better than carryin around one of those bulky cases imo.

The ipod shuffle is the best mp3 (mac type) player to use for the gym.  You prearrange your playlists in Itunes (there are automatic playlists that generate from the last songs you downloaded from limew---uh I mean bought from itunes store) ahead of time and load the ones you want before you go....The size is awesome and it clips to whatever article of clothing you want.  How many times has your phone or ipod fallen out of your pocket when you're getting up from a bench?  Happens to me all the time

40 gig iPod and also a Shuffle. I don't use either at the gym though.
