Boy I know you're disapointed but at least you have class and aren't on here making excuses...props for that...  I do sorta feel bad for the Patriots and their fans....to be so close to history and miss it . It just goes to show you how tough that  league really is. Regardless they still won 18 games in a row that something that has never been done in a season and likely never will again. I CAN'T BELIEVE I missed the game. :'(

Eli vs Peyton next year ;) ;D

Dude, as a MICHIGAN Grad i really hope you get over your man crush on Brady. The pats have Mike Vrabel on their D and he lost out on a ring. You need to look at the bigger picture. I hate O$U as much as you hate MICHIGAN but if a Big Ten player can earn a ring....be happy for your school and your conference. I hope that you mature and grow up and show respect to your own school and Conference. God Bless you and God Bless any individual that you come across.

Oh man... All it takes is one tongue-in-cheek post and the M*ch*g*n fans get all butt-hurt on me! :)

About Vrabel, he says that after his playing career is over, he'd like to come back here and coach at Ohio State.

Most players would love to be a coach in someway for their College. Toomer has said that he wants to be a WR coach, Brady wants to teach qb's at MICHIGAN...etc,...

Dude you are a straight up punk.

Speaking of classless and a childish need for name-calling, you're an overly opinionated highly emotional nincompoop who never sticks to the gist of the thread. Calm down and stop thinking about me for once, i'm in your head in a big way.  :-* I could see this coming a mile away lol.

BTW Belichick did nothing wrong. I'm not sure that most of the criticism towards him is warranted.

I'll disagree, but people see what they want to see.

As a role model to my team, I would have been out there until the whistle blew...

Serious question time.

Have you ever played football on a competitive level? If so, would your coach have let you walk away in disgust and not play the last second if you were to be on the field? My coaches never would have.

You can question Belichick all you like. Most of the crap he takes is pretty unfair. He does not give the media anything , so they hate him.

But to question him as a role model for his team is just silly. Belichick is one of the greatest coaches ever. He lead him team to 18 - 0 under massive pressure.

He screwed up the last game. He is human. The guy just was part of the biggest let down of his pro career. To be one dropped ball away from history in his sport.

He could have showed a little bit more class , but give the guy a break. He started to run off the field with one second left. A lot of people do that. We all know if that was Mike Shanahan no one would have said a word.

I'm not saying Beli hasn't gotten some unfair treatment... but I personally haven't taken issue with anything he's done all season... until the last second of the last game.

What everyone else wants to bitch about... I don't know... Nor do I care, but I personally didn't like the end.

I get he was disgusted... I get he was upset... we're only human.

He was on the biggest stage on the biggest night and he should have just stepped up a bit... That's all.

Maybe just say, "Hey, I messed up... oh well. Sorry."

I'd be cool with that... I got no hate on the guy at all.

You know I have to agree with you when you put it this way. It was poor descision on Bills part to act that way. When you first spoke on the issue I did not get the jist of what you where saying. Now I do.

Good post all around.

I think Bill coached a horrible game that night. Just goes to show you , no one is immune to pressure.

That said I am taking nothing away from the g men. They beat the shat out of the pats. They are world champs , and should be.

After viewing what Bill did again, i have to agree he was a bitch...Its one thing to think the game is over and run off the field etc...But the ref went right up to him and told him the game wasn't over...And his next move is to just ignore it and get off the field....To be honest, yes the game was 99.9% over but you always take it to that last snap....Weird things have happend even when a guy just has to go to one knee...

Those of us over 35 remember the Giants-Eagles game from 1978...all the Giants had to do was down the ball and the game was over...they tried a hand-off, which was fumbled and recovered by future Jets/Chiefs coach Herm Edwards, who returned the fumble for a touchdown.  Obviously, this didn't happen in the Super Bowl, but your comment about "weird things have happened" reminded me of the play.  Some say that the Giants actually benefited from it; it was the "rock bottom" moment that led to a complete organizational makeover...eight years later, the Giants won their first Super Bowl.
