Good rationalization there........you don't want their service, then don't hire Exxon.  Don't have them invest in your country and then tell them to fuck off.

Like I said in my post before, good luck keeping up the oil production, or even increasing it. Hell, good luck with trying to explore for more and extract it. You want to tell a trans-national oil company to fuck off? Good luck sustaining anything. Of course, Chavez now holds his countries oil "in the name of the people".

    Sure you do-especially when you are a sovereign country and its YOUR natural resource-we do it all the time.

I understand where you are coming from, but now that Exxon is gone and little money is going to be reinvested into the oil industry plus all the technical expertise that is lost when Exxon had their property confiscated, Venezuela is going to hurt from this in the long run. Their production will now begin a slow and steady decline, hence less revenue. It's the choice they, or excuse me, Chavez made.
