I haven't met anyone with a radically different metabolism. The guys who claim they can eat anything and everything in any quantity yet not gain weight are bullshitting. BMR's do not differ to a great extent between the majority of individuals. The one's that do are sick - there's a pathology, like a thyroid problem. But that's very rare.
Can't gain weight = poor appetite
