Look to other countries, where people are not in as big debt.

How do their economic and political system look?

Those countries are in a mess because of the intl corporate are doing the same things the ones do here.

Those govts are broke too because their spending is completely insane.

Its an intl problem now.

Actually China will weather this storm pretty well.  This whole myth of they need us as much as we need them is just that, a myth.

HAHAHA

China needs the US as much or more than the other way.

American consumerism is the reason why many Chinese have jobs.

If civil unrest happens in China it is because Americans quits buying.

Zhang Ping, China's top economic planner, said last week that "excessive bankruptcies and production cuts will lead to massive unemployment and stir social unrest." And police chief Meng Jianzhu warned of "lots of social problems affecting stability under the current circumstances."

You can argue me all you want on this issue.  I'll say it again..........the Chinese will weather this storm and emerge as the next economic superpower with or without our consumption.  Once the smoke clears and countries revamp their banking systems and economic systems there will be a very hungry market for cheap Chinese goods once again.  You act like the US is the only nation thirsty for prosperity and consumption.  Plus the damn Chinese own so much of our debt they will be buying up US assets like crazy.

you don't understand the scale of American consumption.
America buys 30% of the worlds goods.
No market can replace that.

If China's unemployment increases even by a couple of percentage points the Communists are in trouble, they know this and so does the US government.

If the American economy tanks, China will go down too.

How do you think the situation would've been if Reagan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr would have produced balanced budgets?

A balanced budget is IMPOSSIBLE with our monetary system.  A government that has to "borrow" it's own currency is in a cycle of perpetual debt.  Clinton did not balance the budget or have a surplus.  They stole from the Social Security Trust and replaced it with IOU's.

Federal reserve is formed in 1913.  We then go bankrupt in 20 years with Roosevelt's confiscation of privately held gold.  Federal Reserve tricked our government out of it's own gold by making it pay interest on the currency issued, while also providing the backing for it - in essence the government was paying interest on it's own gold.

with a debt currency, a balanced budget is impossible because there is not enough money in circulation to pay off both interest and principle.  This means continued borrowing allowing the government to be overlayed with shell corporations and owned and controlled like any other corporation.

Our government is gone, the only way to recover as a sovereign nation is by conquest and seperating ourselves from the British Crown - something our founding fathers failed to do in the Revolutionary War.

Bro, you're all over the place.

You do realize McMannus is more "socialist/anarchist" than any other poster on this board?

Compare his views to those of Naomi Klein and Noam Chomsky, two authors which I'm sure McMannus have both read and agrees with.

Your former favorite Ron Paul is an avid free-trade supporter ie globalization.

McMannus gave some pretty good cold hard facts on globalization.

Maybe you are socialist-anarchist in disguise, without even knowing it, Bindare?  :o ;)
