Protein, nice job of taking an except of what I said without the full context.  Bush had nothing to do with the short term sales mentality of wall street.  That needs to be addressed, as Steve Forbes has repeatedly mentioned.

On a good note, wall street liked the gov plan to buy the bad bank assets.  Unfortunately, the taxpayor will be picking up the tab bailing out greedy lenders and many people who got loans they shouldn't have.
However, the wall street news today is good!

Mal, I agree about Iraq...at least from the info the general public gets.  Perhaps it will lead to a better Iraq but we should never have gone in there and Bush wasted a lot of our taxpayor monies.

However, if you think all the spending the Obama administration is doing is well focused to battle the recession, you are mistaken.  He is creating big gov and big programs that cause reliance on gov.  This administration will spend more of our money in 20 months than Bush did the whole last 4 years, including war expendatures.  Obama is printing and spending money like crazy.  Much of it is for democratic projects that have little to directly do with the current recession.  We will be paying for his spending over the next decade....and our taxes will have to go up.  Some of the $ is well intended but gov is so wasteful and not all the money will be well spent.  Look at AIG...look at blank checks being given to the states.
