As I said, generally speaking people don't care about things they cannot relate to on a personal level and if they claim to, it is usually little more than pretense. People who didn't experience the Holocaust usually don't care and those who claim they do, do so out of a sense of obligation and indoctrination more than anything else. The truth is: people don't care. If people had cared, something like the genocide that took place in Ruanda 15 years ago would have been stopped but no one lifted a finger (I am not condemning them, merely stating the facts). Thus it is perfectly understandable that people don't care about something that happened over 60 years ago.

Just STFU and get back to studying your BS degree.

Yes, I know you cannot bring an argument to bear against that. It is a bit too rational and true to do counter.
I hate the State.

Your argument is "some people don't care so lets forget about it"  ::)

Thus...it's not worthy of my time.

No, my argument is NO ONE cares and if they claim otherwise it is almost always pretense. People are selfish and self-interested, that is who we are.

What about Rwanda? We all stood by and did nothing. A million people hacked and butchered to death with machetes and gardening tools in a few months. Who cared about that? Who cares now? No oil there, huh?
I hate the State.

So you're saying let's just forget about all atrocities....you have no point.

No, I am saying that if we truly wish to show we care, we cannot be selective about that caring. Or we can just be honest and admit humans are self-interested, selfish beings.

Only certain atrocities matter, Decide.

It's really that simple.

Than you're either slow or can't explain yourself properly, you should be crusading for more acknowledgment for other atrocities instead of crusading to forget about the ones who do get remembered.
