I often have sinus infections, too.   I find irrigating them in the shower really helps.  It takes practice, but well worth it.  But when I do get an infection, as soon as I see bright yellow or orange, I get on antibiotics right away. (Augmentin works best for me)

some people use a neti pot (google it for fun videos) but a regular shower head works fine for me

Get a netti pot. It's like a teapot that u fill with watery packets and pour up ur nose and let it drip down the other nostril. Everyone I know who has one swears by it.
