Steeve-o the reality for me, and probably yourself, is that once you read and become really informed on stuff, its almost an insult to watch the garbage on tv.
I was hannity and almost feel bad for him now. Same for Olberman. Madow is just awful. I tried again to watch her while doing cardio tonight and couldnt last more than a few minutes so I put on a re-reun on Law & Order.
I find that the radio and internet are far more educating and informative than tv. Youtube has GREAT clips by all sorts of people that are extremely informative on all sorts of crap.
I just find tv is a big waste of time overall other than baseball, which I like since I am in the bronx.
yeah im a big radio fan, I wake up to the BBC world service every morning, listen to it for an hour, you get some great original reporting from all corners of the globe. Also BBC Radio 4 great for round table discussions with policy makers and journos etc. For my other info its generally academic journals (if i have time) and weekly/monthly political magazines which you can subscribe online to so mostly the internet for me as well....youtube is a fantastic resource to hear some really smart guys discuss without the bullshit ratings war of tv to worry them.
your right other than sport or for films TV i find a bit limiting.
