When cutting, which do you find more effective for giving yourself an added boost?
1. Twice-a-day cardio (as opposed to once a day)
2. Even further restricting your calories/diet
For me, it’s diet.
Changes in my diet yield results much more dramatic than additional cardio.
As JPM mentioned, cutting carbs is key - again, this is what works for me.
I’ve never gone crazy strict on any kind of Atkins or “Anabolic” diet, but drastically reducing carbs while eating whole eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, red meat, and even doing a daily shot of olive oil, I’ve been able to noticeably lean out - and that’s without doing ANY cardio.
In my book, that really shoots the whole “a calorie is a calorie” argument up the ass.
On the flip side, I've done additional cardio while eating "bad" foods, and fail to make any substantial progress.
